My mum hadn't figured out what had happened earlier. We sat at supper in silence, still trying to figure things out. I play with my food, disinterested.
"Your father is coming tomorrow. Are we going to tell him?" She says without emotion.
I don't respond, and continue to play with my steak.
"May I be excused?" I say in a quiet voice. It was her turn not to respond, so I got up promptly, and went to my room.
Our forgotten game of FIFA still open on my TV. I don't turn it off, I just stare at the screen. My phone started to light up. Texts from Tobi were coming in rapid amounts.

whew, Josh responded. I laughed at my phone.

don't remind me, minter. I could hear the thick annoyance in JJ's voice, even through text. It made me smile.

JJ rolled his eyes. I nudged him, seeing coach was eyeing our direction. He stopped and looked to the ground.
Cal stood across, and was staring at me. I looked away, refusing to acknowledge him. It was for the best. Nothing was going to come from talking to him about what happened. When I looked back up, he looked angry. Furious.
