As soon as I get home I throw my bag by the door and plop down on the couch with a sigh. "What's wrong sis?" Nate sits down by my and gives me a playful shove. "Nothing" I reply with a small smile. "Im just not really used to all that school stuff." "Come on Ell. I know when you're holding something back from me. What's really wrong?"
Darn. He knows me to well. We both know each other like the back of our hands and have been best friends our whole life. "I don't know. I just feel like I don't fit in. I'm not good with people and there's a lot of people there. I don't want to fail at everything. I don't want to be that one girl that everyone hates and laughs at." He looks at me and gives me a small smile, his blue eyes gleaming like always. "First off I know you think you're not good with people. But when you walk into a room you light it up. So many people will want to be your friend. And if they don't, that's their loss because you're the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for. There will always be mean people and you just have to brush their comments off and turn the other cheek. Got it?" I smile and nod. He always knows how to cheer me up. "I got it. Thank you."
"Anytime little sis." I stand up and head over to the door to retrieve my bag. "I have some homework to do so I'll be in my room if you need me." "Alright. Moms working night shift and dad's helping some people move into their new home and won't be back till late. I'll make us dinner in a little while." "Sounds good." I close my door and sink into my chair. Today wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I guess that's a good thing...
Hello!!! I actually updated this story!!!! I don't even know why I'm writing this because no ones ever gonna read this. 😥
