-TIME SKIP TO SENIOR YEAR-

My heart beats out of my chest as I gasp for breath. I'm running as fast and as far as my legs can take me. Although I'm panting, seeing as I can hardly breathe, I continue to run. I only have to be quicker than the boy pursuing me.

I turn the corner of the street, never looking back because it might slow me down, and I continue down that way. I reach a house of red brick and a white swing on the outstretched porch. The grass is green and waves slightly as a cool breeze sweeps through, a nice break from the summer heat.

I turn to the left so I run into the grass and then I collapse onto the ground. I roll on my back as I catch my breathe and move my hand to cover my eyes and block the suns bright rays.

With a gulp of air, I sit up and see the boy run towards me.

"I almost beat you!"
He calls at me.

I shake my head and smile.
"Notice the keyword? Almost. You're gonna have to be quicker than that if you ever want to beat me Timothy."

He walks closer and then collapses beside me as I had done previously.

"How can you run so fast without passing out?"
He says while sucking in deep breathes.

I shrug my shoulders and lay back down beside him.
"I've always been able to run fast."

"Yeah well it's not fair for the rest of us who want to beat you."
He says giving my shoulder a soft shove.

"Well too bad then. Life's not fair."
I say with another smile.

Life could not be more perfect than it is right now. I have the most perfect boyfriend I could ask for, we still have two more weeks of break before school starts, and I have the best group of friends in existence.

"Summer's almost over."
I say with a frown.

He groans.
"Don't remind me. I want it to be summer forever. No more school."

"We are seniors now though. Only one more year left of this torture they call school."
I remind him. Then I add another thought.
"Well except college. There is still that."

"I just want to freeze right now and live in the moment forever."
He says squeezing his eyes shut.

I close my eyes too.
"Wouldn't that be nice."

The peace and quiet is soon interrupted by Nate yelling from the front door.

"There's pizza inside if you're hungry."
He calls.
"Or you can just stay there and make out or do whatever it is you two do these days."

I sit up and twist my body to face him.
"Shut up."
I call.

He just raises one eyebrow and gives me a smirk then walks back into the house leaving the door open.

I stand up and look down at Timothy who is still on his back looking at me.

"Hungry?"
I ask.

He smirks.
"Actually Nate's idea sounds pretty good to me."

I roll my eyes.
"Oh my gosh. Get up dork."

I offer him my hand and he takes it. I pull on his arm but he pulls back and brings me to the ground.

"Timothy!"
I yell.

He laughs as he takes my head in his hand and brings his lips to mine. I try to pull away, but only half heartedly. I finally give into him and kiss back wholeheartedly.
