Kat, Kade, and I sit on my bed watching Titanic on my laptop. It's our favorite movie to watch together. We munch on popcorn while we watch it.
"So." Kat speaks. "Have you talked to Timothy recently?" "Uh, yeah actually. Just this afternoon. He invited me over to study for that science test coming up in two days." Their interest is suddenly on me and not the movie.
"Well? How did it go?" Kade asks.
"Not so great. We didn't even do any studying. He got a call from someone but didn't answer it. Then he started packing up all my stuff and made up something about an unfinished project he needed to finish. He was lying. I know it. Then I left and he called the number back and it looked like he was arguing with someone. The whole time he had this look on his face. I can't place what it means but it's definitely not his normal face. I don't know what's going on with him."
"That's so weird. I know Timothy and he wouldn't just kick you out for no reason. He loves spending time with you. Do you think Monica called?" Kat asked her eyebrows furrowed the whole time.
"I don't know. It's a possibility that it could have been Monica." Wait. What did she say about Timothy? "Wait a second. Did you say he loves spending time with me?"
They both share and glance and laugh.
"Am I missing something here? Hello? Tell me what you said!"
They finally stop laughing and Kade looks at me as if the answer is totally obvious. "He's practically glowing anytime you're around. Everyone sees it. He'll jump at the chance just to talk with you. Honestly we were all surprised when he got together with Monica. We all thought you two would end up together."
"He does? You do? When did this start? You think we'd look good together? What?" I can barely keep up with my own questions. How did I miss all that?
They laugh again at me. "Slow down a sec will ya? He's always loved hanging with you. And yeah. You two would make a great couple. Perfect even."
I'm smiling right now. I don't know why. Even if what they say is true, he's still with Monica. And we have a really good friendship. That could be it. But still... I can't help but wonder what if-
"Well it's time for us to head home. We'll see you tomorrow at school. I'm glad you forgave us." Kat says standing up. They both give me a hug and gather their stuff.
"I'm glad too. See ya tomorrow. Bye!" I wave at them and they wave back and exit the room.
I lay back on my bed with a heavy sigh. The whole night a just think of what it would be like if Timothy actually had feelings for me. I know I'm supposed to be trying to get over him, but I allow myself this short time. I can always start tomorrow...

My astronomy field trip was amazing!!!! I saw the Big Dipper for the first time EVER! We could see the Milky Way! I can now pick out the Swan, Big Dipper, Little Dipper, and the Sagittarius constellations. I couldn't get a pic of the sky cause it wouldn't show up but we went on a hike and here's a pic of that.

I know it's not THAT breathtaking but it was beautiful in real life. There were also SO SO SO many plateaus. Idk why but I adore plateaus.
