Spilling it all

I just finished my last class of the day, so I run down the halls and out of the school and start walking home. I don't want to talk to anybody right now, but I can tell that Kadence and Katherine are following me. I keep walking faster any way trying to ignore them. "Ellie slow down! Please talk to us!" Kade yells. I continue to walk down the narrow sidewalk quickly wiping away any tears that now freely fall. They finally catch up to me and stand in my way to make me stop. All I have to do is look into their eyes and then I put my hands on my face and start crying even harder. They circle around me in a tight hug. "Wanna talk about it?" Kat asks. I nod. "Let's go to my house first." We start walking back with their arms around my back, me still silently crying with an occasional sniffle.

Once we reach my house we walk in and immediately go to my room and sit down on my bed. "It's Monica." I start to spill "Her and Timothy were holding hands and walking to class earlier. My life is over! I knew he never liked me. Who would? He's perfect and I'm not. I'm just an insecure, ugly, unpopular-" Katherine cuts me off before I can say any more. "Hey. Stop. Look at me." I slowly look up at her through blurry tear filled eyes. "You listen to me. Okay?" I nod. "You are the most beautiful, kind, smart, positive, and amazing girl I know. And if Timothy can't see that then he needs a reality check. And if he doesn't want to be with you then he is missing out on the best thing that could ever happen to him. You brighten everyone's day. You're always so strong and I know you can be strong for this too. Listen, we'll make it through this... Together. Okay?" I wipe my eyes and nod. "I can be strong." Kade comes and hugs me "If you ever need anything you know you can come to us." It turns into a big group hug. I sigh against their shoulders "You guys are the best friends anyone could ever ask for. You know that right?" I can feel Kat smile "We've been told once or twice." We all laugh and pull away form the hug. They know just how to make me feel better. "Do you guys want to go get dinner with me and Nate? Mom and dad won't be home till late again, so we were planning on going out." "Sure!" Kat and Kade say at the same time. "That was creepy." I say laughing. They do that all the time. Guess it's a twin thing.

Later that night we all pile into Nate's dark green mustang that has a dent in the side of it from our friends pickup truck. We head over to chiles and get seated almost as soon as we get inside. I order a grilled cheese as usual, Kadence orders a veggie burger, Katherine orders a Caesar salad, and Nate gets a bacon burger. We spend the rest of the night laughing and having fun. We even pick out a song from the iTunes jukebox thing. We listen to "Uptown Funk" and sing along the whole song getting more than a few stares from other people. But I didn't care. Because that night, even for just a little bit, I forgot about Timothy and all my problems. I was just happy to be there surrounded by all the people I love.

Whew! That was a doozy! But I hope you like it. A little shout out to chiles who have THE BEST grilled cheese ever in existence. So thank you! Anyway I love all my readers!!! 😘😘😘 So here! Have some cake!!!🍰🍰🍰 last thing and it's a very important question... Why is there no cupcake emoji?! Like for real???? K that's it love y'all! And here it comes... Peace out GIRLSCOUT! ✌🏼️
