After Tristan and I converse for awhile, I go to my apartment and fall back into a chair. It's only 5 pm and I'm exhausted. I don't even know why. My phone starts going off so I pick up.
"Hello?" I say.
No answer. I hear russling in the background and voices now and then. I think I've been butt dialed. I keep listening, being the stalker I am. I quickly check who called me. Bella.
I put the phone back to my ear to continue listening. I hear a bouncy creaking noise that sounds like a bed. She must've sat on her phone or something. I hear loud breathing and then a thump, which I think is me falling to the floor.
I hear something that sounds like clinking of metal then a thump near me.
"Bella..." I hear a voice mumble.
I then hear exchanging of spit. What have I been butt dialed into?
I finally snap out of it and pull the phone away from my ear. What in the name of Tartares. I immediately get out of my chair and go over to Cal's room. I knock on the door and he opens it.
"Can you call Sam and ask him if he's still with Bella?" I ask.
"Um, sure?" Cal says, grabbing his phone.
He scrolls through his contacts then clicks Sam's name. He puts the phone up to his ear and waits. And waits. He takes it away from his ear after awhile.
"I got voicemail," Cal says.
"Try again," I reply.
He raises an eyebrow but tries again.
"Still voicemail," he says a minute later.
"Try until he answers," I respond.
Cal calls again. I like how he doesn't always question me. He calls again until Sam picks up.
"Sam?" Cal says.
I hear Sam's voice.
"Sorry," Cal replies. "Are you still at Bella's?"
Talking.
"I dunno," he says.
More talking.
"Okay, okay!" Cal exclaims. "I'll leave you alone. Jeez!"
He hangs up.
"He's still at Bella's," Cal says.
That's... That's disgusting. If I'm right with what I'm thinking, which I most likely am, that's disgusting.
"Why did you wanna know?" Cal asks, bringing me back to reality.
"Bella butt dialed me," I reply.
I shudder.
"What did you hear?" Cal asks quizzically.
"Do you really wanna know?" I demand.
"Not anymore with the look on your face," he replies.
"Exactly," I say.
I let out an elephant groan.
"I was hungry before that call," I say. "Not anymore."
Cal rolls his eyes.
"At least you hung up," he replies. "It would've gotten worse."
I throw my head up and stare at the ceiling.
"Probably," I say.
I shudder again. The rest of the day passes pretty quickly with barely any fighting, thank the gods. It's almost midnight and I'm laying here on my bed staring at the ceiling. A few minutes pass then there's a knock on my door. Who would be up and about at this time?
