At this point, I'm having an extreme panic attack. Cal hasn't woken up yet and it's worrying me. What if he used up too much of his power and can't wake up? I shake my head to clear my thoughts. I saw Sam in the med center awhile after the last of the troops came back. He was in the battle but didn't get too many injuries. I told him about Cal and he got super worried; he kept insisting to see Cal, but I convinced him that he shouldn't worry so much.
I stare at Cal's almost unmoving body on a bed in the med center. He looks so peaceful when he's knocked out.
I create sparks between my fingers as a nervous habit as I watch him. The nagging feeling in the front of my mind is killing me. I don't know what I'd do if he never wakes up. He makes me feel whole and nobody would be able to make me feel the same.
Is this what he felt like when I was taken by Avail Firi?

Relief floods through me as Cal's eyes open. He jolts up, looking around frantically.
"What happened?" he asks when his eyes land on me. "How did I get here? Why-"
He stops suddenly and grabs his head, groaning in pain. The ground starts rumbling and I get a major headache. Cal falls onto his side and the ground stops rumbling. So does the headache.
A couple moments later, a doctor appears in the doorway.
"What was that rumbling?" she asks.
I gesture to Cal.
"He woke up for a minute but was unconscious the next," I say.
"The ground shaking was him?" the doctor asks.
"Yeah..?" I reply.
"A normal mind reader shouldn't be able to do that... I have to go talk to somebody."
At that, she walks away. Okay then. I get up to leave as somebody comes rushing to the door. It's Axel, the commander.
"We need your help," he says, looking at me. "Fongratch's army is attacking again."
Again? Ugh.
"Okay," I say.
I run after Axel and put on some armor.
"All the troops are out," he yells over his shoulder. "Just follow me."
If all the troops are out, this must be a pretty big battle. I follow Axel out of the factory and after a couple minutes, we reach the battle scene.
There's soldiers everywhere, lots dead, lots alive. A couple see me and run at me. I put my hand up and blast out a lightning bolt at them.I go deeper into the battle, shooting arrows as I go. There's so many soldiers. How would Fongratch even get this many people? He must've gotten a lot of humans.
Suddenly, I'm knocked down by somebody aggressively shoving their shoulder at me. I look up at the person. One of Fongratch's soldiers. Nothing less of what I expected.
I quickly kick the soldier which makes him stumble back, giving me the chance to stand up. The soldier regains his balance and punches me in the stomach. It knocks the air out of me and I fall back onto the ground. The soldier steps on my throat. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. I can't freaking breathe. My vision starts to blur and I start seeing black splotches.
The last thing I hear is something that sounds like a roar then a gunshot.

I wake up, not knowing where I am. I stare up at a cloudy sky. There must be more snow coming. My back and legs are freezing. I look around and remember where I am when I see the blood stained snow and the bodies laying around me. I jump up off the ground. I look around more. It looks like the sun is starting to set. I should probably get back to the factory.
I start to walk. That's when I start noticing the pain in my leg, stomach, and neck. I suck it up until I reach the factory. Finally. The sun is completely set and I can barely see six feet infront of me. I pull open the door. There's only a couple people up and around. I walk towards the med center. They could need my help tending to wounds. I don't get very far until I hear commotion. I run over to it to see a small crowd of doctors, nurses, and a couple soldiers around a room. I try to push through them but am unsuccessful.
I grab one of the doctor's arm so they'll look at me.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"One of the patients-" the doctor is cut off when the ground starts rumbling.
I start to get a small migraine as the ground rumbles. Oh no. Cal. I head into the small crowd, shoulder first, pushing them out of the way. I get to the door and see why people are gathered around. Cal is sitting there, grabbing his head, blood coming out of his mouth, and there are two doctors laying on the ground unconscious.
At least they aren't dead. I hope. I go into room which makes the migraine increase greatly. I make my way over to Cal and kneel down infront of him. The pain is almost unbearable.
"Cal," I say.
He looks up at me, alarm flashing through his eyes.
"Get... Away," he says.
"Cal," I repeat.
"I can't... I can't control it," Cal says, grabbing his head.
"Yes you can," I say. "Cal, look at me."
He looks back at me.
"This shouldn't be happening," he whispers. "I can't control it."
I put my hand up and cup Cal's cheeks.
"I'm hurting you," he says. "I'm hurting everyone."
"Just concentrate on me, okay? You can control your powers."
Cal slowly blows out a breath and shuts his eyes tightly. The migraine slowly dies down to nothing at all.
"That wasn't supposed to happen," he says, opening his eyes and looking at me. "If I use too much of my power, it isn't supposed to increase."
Cal looks over my shoulder and his face pales.
"They aren't dead, are they?" he asks. "Did I kill them?"
I shake my head.
"I think they'll be okay," I reply.
I give him a small smile and wipe the blood away from his mouth.
"Are you okay?" Cal asks. "I'm sorry."
"I'm good," I reply.
There are people taking the doctors away and the crowd has mostly cleared away. I hear a set of footsteps coming towards us so I turn to look who it is. I stand up when they grab Cal by the shirt and pull him towards them.
"They could've died because of you," Axel hisses.
He punches Cal in the face.
"It's not his fault," I say.
"Yes, it is," Axel replies. "He did it on purpose. He's always been on the wrong side. No wonder Garmin showed an interest in him."
"Get away from him," I say, stepping inbetween Axel and Cal.
"He's a threat," Axel says.
"You're the threat."
Axel narrows his eyes then releases Cal.
"Go back to Garmin," he snarls then walks away.
I turn to Cal who looks outraged. He turns to the nearest wall and starts punching it, whispering profanities the whole time. He spins away from the wall and walks out of the room. I quickly follow him.

Hey, guys. I hope you've enjoyed this so far. This just came into my mind to tell you that Avail Firi isn't actually a Greek god. Like, in my book he is. But he isn't in Greek mythology.
