Tristan's Pov
********
It's a horrific scene; blood staining the snow feet away from the battle. The soldiers are a tornado of armed figures with the sound of clashing weaponry. In the background of the battle is a looming black building. That must be Fongratch's base. The army hasn't charged yet. Morgan grabs my arm.
"This ends here," she says. "This ends now."
I nod. The commander yells over the chaos to charge and so we do. I grab out a knife and once close enough, I throw it. The knife hits a Fongratch soldier and they fall to the ground. I grab another knife. I see a bigger soldier charging me. I'm about to throw the knife but two arrows hit him in the chest. I look over and Morgan is staring at me. She mouths the words, I've got your back, then knocks another arrow. I throw my knife and hit a soldier in the stomach. I'm saving my bullets for Fongratch. He's giant and I don't think one bullet could kill him.
I take out my third knife and slash it at an upcoming soldier. They fall to the ground once the knife makes contact with their throat. I look around for another attacker and then I see him. Fongratch. He is five times bigger than any human that has ever existed and he has slick brown fur. I grab out my gun and shoot. Fongratch roars then shakes his hand. Are you serious? I hit his hand?
I aim again but then pictures start flashing across my vision. No, not now. This can't happen right now. The pictures start taking over. I shake my head and that clears it for a few moments. I point my gun at Fongratch then shoot. He roars which means I hit him. I shoot again. And then the past takes up my vision.
The pictures are almost overwhelming. I hear no noise from that day, just the sounds of battle around me. I still feel the surroundings, it isn't like I'm back in my 13 almost 14 year old body. This is weird. I start shaking my head, trying to get the images out of my mind. Finally, I'm successful. I look around me. The battle is still going on. I'm on a lower level. I must have fallen down. I quickly get up and look around. Fongratch is still there. Some of his 'fur' is matted down with what I think is blood, so I hit him. I raise my gun again and shoot. It misses so I move my hand over a bit and shoot again. It hits Fongratch and he roars again.
I'm really surprised nobody has attacked me yet. I point and shoot again but miss Fongratch. As my aim gets off, so does my focus. I can't see what's going on around me. The images are taking over my vision again. The horrific scenes of the day pass infront of my gaze. I don't know how to stop it.

Morgan's POV
***
Tristan shot Fongratch a few times but he's not going down. I've lost sight of Tristan for the current moment and I'm too surrounded my soldiers to find him. I shoot a few arrows at a couple soldiers and then I see Tristan.
His hand is on his head and his gun at his side. Oh no. His eyes are closed and he just stands there. He's having a flashback. I make my way over to him and grab his arm.
"Tristan," I say over the commotion. "Tristan!"
He's shaking his head violently. After a while, his eyes open again. He looks around quickly then down at me.
"Sorry," he says.
Tristan glances quickly behind me then grabs a knife out. He throws it through the air and it hits a soldier running up towards us. I make sure to stick next to him so that if his flashbacks take control again, he won't get killed. I shoot a few more arrows then Tristan grabs my arm.
"I need to get closer to Fongratch," he says.
I nod.
"Right behind you," I reply then knock an arrow.
Tristan advances forward and I pull back the string of my bow. I shoot an upcoming soldier then knock another arrow. There's too many soldiers. How did Fongratch possibly get this many people to fight for him? I reach back for another arrow to find I don't have any. I take out a knife and put it against my bow string, firing it at someone going towards Tristan. We get closer and closer to Fongratch, but the process is slow.
I soon run out of knives to throw. Dangit. I swing my bow onto my back and shoot out a quick spark of lightning at an opposer coming at Tristan. I knock someone else's feet out from under them and then shoot yet another bolt out at someone else. Tristan keeps going forward towards Fongratch, slashing people with knives as he goes. He's getting awfully close to Fongratch. Out of nowhere, someone tackles me to the ground. I struggle to free myself from their grip but they pin both my hands to the ground, facing away from themself. They grab a knife from a holster and put it against my throat. I try kicking them but it fails. They look down at me and smirk.
"Hello, godling," they say and my eyes widen when I realize who it is. "I'm going to enjoy this."
I've found that lots of people want to kill me right now. Fongratch, everyone in Fongratch's army, Avail Firi, but I didn't expect this. I know he wanted to kill me but how is he here? How in Hades' name is Adam still alive? Adam was the one who beat up Cal the first day that he was at school; he also kidnapped Cal and I shot him with a lightning bolt. That's probably why he has a scar running across most his face.
"You tried to kill me," Adam says, his smirk turning into a sneer. "Now it's my turn. But this time? This time I'll kill you."
