"You broke into my house," I smile.

Cal chuckles.

"They told me to get you there. Not how," he says.

"And then you put me under mind control," I sigh.

"Would you let that go?" Cal asks. "I'm-"

"Oh shut up Cal and enjoy right now," I interrupt him.

Cal laughs and is about to put his lips against mine but his phone starts ringing. I glance down at his pocket.

"Who is it?" I ask.

Cal grabs his phone and looks at it.

"Sam," he replies.

"You should answer it."

Cal answers the phone.

"Yeah?" he says into it.

There's talking on the other end. I start to press kisses against Cal's cheeks and jaw as Sam continues to talk.

"Well, that's your fault," Cal says and Sam replies. "I know I am..... Well, yeah..... I dunno. Just talk..... Well you asked..... That's what I would do."

I bring my kisses to Cal's ear.

"Sorry, dude," he says. "I'm a little busy right now. Just call back if what I suggested doesn't work."

Cal hangs up the phone and drops it onto the couch.

"What was that about?" I ask.

"He's been having some people problems," Cal replies. "Not much to worry about. Now, where were we?"

Cal presses his lips against mine. I run a hand through his hair. And.... Then Cal's phone starts ringing. He growls and grabs it. He sighs.

"It's Trauno," he says and answers it. "Hey..... What?.... Where?.... Okay, we're on our way."

Cal hangs up the phone then gets up.

"What was that about?" I ask.

"There's another battle," Cal replies. "I don't think you're well enough to fight yet."

"Yes, I am," I say.

"But you just got out of the med center," Cal objects.

"I'm fine," I say. "I have my lightning."

"Are you sure?" he asks.

"Yeah," I say.

"I don't want you to get hurt," Cal says.

"I'll be fine," I reassure him. "Now we should hurry up or we'll be too late."

"Right," Cal says, heading towards the door. "Do you think Tristan got the message?"

I raise an eyebrow.

"Since when did you start caring?" I ask.

"Well, the sooner we kill Fongratch, the sooner we go after Avail Firi."

"Oh."

Cal opens the door and walks out. I follow. He bangs his fist on Tristan's door and yells,

"Tristan, battle!"

He spins on his heal and follows me down the stairs. I skip over every other stair and then walk out the door. I quickly get in my car and Cal gets in his. We both go to the factory.

By the way, Tristan got a car, if you're worried. I wouldn't just leave him. Maybe.

I hop out of my car and run into the factory.

"Morgan!" Trauno says. "We need your help treating the injured. Cal! Go lead the last troops out."

"Yes, Trauno," we say in unison.

I turn to Cal and press a quick kiss on his lips.

"Be safe," I say.

Cal smiles and starts walking away.
"I'm running into a battle. Safe doesn't exist."

I quickly walk towards the med center. Whoa. There's a lot of people in here. Not just helping, but a lot of wounded.

"Thank Zeus," one of the nurses says, looking at me. "Get more bandages and water."

I nod my head then quickly walk towards where they store everything. I search through the almost endless shelves until I find a heap of dirty white bandages, wrapped up into separate rolls. I grab an empty bowl and fill it with warm water in the sink that's in the storage room. I don't know why it's there.

I rush back out and go to one of the soldiers with a more major injury. He has a stab wound in his side which is bleeding through his armor. I remove the armor that partly covers the wound then grab a roll of the bandages. I wrap up the wound tightly, which will slow down or stop the blood flow.

I quickly take out a couple pills for pain and tell the soldier to take them. I then go to another soldier. The chaos around me grows when a new amount of injured soldiers come in. There's too many.

There's way too many soldiers to be in here. It's almost the whole army. Oh my gods. I start having a panic attack. I turn back to the patient infront of me and begin to work on them.

The minutes go by fastly, no more soldiers coming in yet. Cal and his troops are the only ones still fighting. Almost all the injured have been helped. I'm thinking of going to the battle when the doors burst open. Only half the soldiers that left come back. Some of the soldiers who are still standing have injured soldiers' arm draped over both their soldiers. But there's one familiar person draped over someone's shoulders that makes my heart stop.

Cal.

The nurses and doctors rush to the injured soldiers. I quickly go up to the soldier with Cal. I drape his other arm over my shoulders and the soldier releases him.

"What happened?" I ask, taking Cal to one of the tables set up in the empty area.

"He used too much of his power, I guess," the soldier replies. "He saved all our lives. After he killed the soldiers in Fongratch's army, he fell to the ground."

"I saw it with my own eyes," a passing soldier says. "In the midst of all the chaos, the commander goes on one knee and puts his hands on the ground. The ground started rumbling then all Fongratch's soldiers died." At that, the soldier walks away.

I look down at Cal. He reached his limit for his powers. Other than that, he doesn't look too hurt. He has some blood trailing down his forehead and a few blood stains in his hair, but not that bad. I look back at the soldier.

"Do you have any wounds that need treating?" I ask him.

"Not really," he replies. "Other people have worse wounds."

"Right," I say. "Thanks for bringing Cal back."

I go over to an injured soldier and start wrapping their wounds.
