I walked carefully on the railing of the sidewalk, sticking my arms out as I kept my balance. It was raining out, and most people were running to try to get out of the weather. Me, I liked the rain. I liked the feel of it on my skin. I had an umbrella, but I let my friend borrow it, since she had to walk farther than I did home from school. My mom was going to kill me when she saw me like this. Eh, oh well.

I was almost to the edge of the railing when I sort of lost my balance. I was about to steady myself, when someone else did it for me. I looked down to see a boy from my school. I boy I never thought I would ever talk to my whole entire life ever.

Jeon Jungkook.

He gave me a warm smile. "Careful." He said, still holding onto my arm.

Jungkook wasn't just popular, he was worshiped. He had it all, or whatever. I honestly never really cared or payed attention to him and the other boys he hung out with only because I knew I would get too invested just because I am that stupid type of person, and I was actually doing a pretty good job even though he was in my class, but now I was in trouble.

"I'm fine, thanks." I yanked my arm away from him as I continued to walk.

"You're Emma, right?" Jungkook kept up with me. "You're in my class."

"I'm surprised you noticed me over all the girls circling you every morning." I muttered.

Jungkook snorted. "Is there a reason you are walking in the rain?"

"Well I have to get home somehow." I rolled my eyes, praying he would just go away.

"That's not what I meant." He smiled. "Do you not have an umbrella?"

"I'd like to think if I did, I would be using it." Please please go away, and please please never ever smile at me ever again because holy shit.

"You are going to catch a cold." He tilted his head.

"That's not really a thing, so i've heard." I stuck my arms out again. "Besides, I've never gotten a cold before, and I walk in the rain all the time. I like it."

"You are going to get sick." Jungkook said. "Come on, you can share mine."

"Thanks, but no thanks." Man I was keeping up my guard well. "That implies that you would have to walk me home, and I am sure you have your own life to live. Thank you though, it was a nice gesture."

"You're stubborn." He suddenly grabbed my wrist, yanking me down from the railing. I let out a light cry as I landed in his arms. He wrapped his arm around my waist and smiled down at me smugly, causing me to blush.

Aaand there goes my guard.

"You can pay me back somehow, so you don't feel burdened."

"How about you don't walk me home in the first place so neither of us feel burdened." I spat, pushing at his chest to get him away from me.

"Na." He shook his head, taking a step towards me so the umbrella was covering both of us. "Just this once, please Em?"

I startled at the nickname. "A-alright." I stuttered. "But just this once. And don't call me that."

Jungkook grinned that stupid grin. "Just this once."

Next day

It was raining again. It was the time of the month where it rained almost every afternoon for a week or so. Right now it was just a drizzle, but the weather said it was going to pick up soon. I kept my eyes out the window as I tried to block out all the noise my girly classmates were making, trying to get Jungkooks attention. At one point, I could have sworn I felt his eyes on me, but that was just my stupid korean drama fried brain.
