You dragged the back of your hand over your forehead as you looked at the clock.
"Way to go Y/N." You sighed out, still catching your breath. "You lost track of time again."
It was 15 to midnight and you were still at the school gym. Even though your dorm was a ten minute walk, it still wasn't the best idea. At this point everyone would be off the streets, half the lights off. Whatever, it's not like this is the first time this has happened.
You had a volleyball tournament next week and you wanted to get in all the practice you could. All today you had classes and you had to miss practice so you stayed later, telling yourself you would only be here till 10. Oops.
You brought sweats, but you were way too hot to put them on. You slipped on your light jacket and popped the hood up, locking up the gym as you left, slipping in your headphones before heading outside.
The slight wind was welcoming on your sweaty skin. You felt yourself walking rather slowly seeing as you had been doing nothing but training the past four hours. Your brain told you to walk faster just so you could get back to the dorm, but your aching limbs strongly advised against that.
You closed your eyes briefly, getting drowned in the sound of your music when you saw a blinding light coming up next to you. You peeked open one eye to see a car slow down next to the sidewalk you were on. The passenger side window was open and there were two boys leaning out of it. They must have been saying something, but since you couldn't hear, you ignored.
The car didn't stop, but it was going slow enough to keep up with you. You could see your dorm building, it wasn't that far...
You stuttered to a stop when another light screeched right in front of you. You finally ripped the headphones from your ears as you squinted at whatever was in front of you.
The light turned off and you blinked, adjusting your vision to now see a motorcycle.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" You gasped. "You're riding a damn motorcycle on the sidewalk? The hell is your problem?"
The driver let out a snicker as he moved around the bike, letting you see him better. He was a few inches taller than you, a black hood covering his hair and the top half of his face. He had his sleeves rolled up slightly, showing his inked arms.
"Babe," His voice was deep, sending your mind in circles. "Do you know how much trouble you'd be in if I didn't show up?"
You jerked your head back, dumbfounded. "Excuse me?"
He grinned, taking a step towards me, making me take a step back which he snickered at. "Go on then, before I change my mind." He looked you up and down, biting down on his bottom lip.
You took in a deep breath, ready to give him a piece of your mind, but then realized the car had come to a stop, four guys now standing outside of the car. You clenched your jaw tightly and took in a sharp breath, glaring at the guy one more time before pushing past him, almost running to your dorm.
You finally allowed your breath out when you shut and locked the door behind you. You ran past your confused roommate and to your bedroom window, looking down at the scene you were once right in front of.
The four men that came from the car were scrambling back into it, driving off rather fast. The boy on the motorcycle stood watching them go for a second before turning around fully, his eyes immediately going to your window, locking eyes with you.
You felt your eyes widen as you jerked away from the window, slowly sliding down the wall.
"Y/N?" Your roommate slipped into your room, giving you a look. "Is everything alright?"
You shook your head slowly, trying to control your breathing. "Yeah," You nodded, trying to get your head on straight. "Yeah i'm good."
***
"Y/N?" Your coach asked while the two of you were pulling down the net.
"What's up?"
"How long were you here last night?"
"Like 10:30." You lied, not wanting her to worry.
"Y/N that's late." She shook her head. "Were you alone?"
"Coach, I live really close, it's not a problem really."
"Y/N," Your coach sighed out. "You need to stop being so reckless, the only reason I gave you a key to the gym was because I thought you would be responsible. If you are out late and something were to happen to you-"
"Coach," You gave her a sweet smile. "I am very careful, you don't have to worry about me."
"Y/N-"
"Really," You started to head out towards the door. "Look, to make you feel better, i'll go home right now, the sun is barely setting, okay? I'll see you tomorrow."
Your coach rolled her eyes at you before disappearing into her office. You changed quickly back into your jeans and loose t-shirt, tying up your shoes before heading out.
The sun had just recently gone down and there were still a lot of kids out, but the moment you passed that spot on the sidewalk you couldn't help but move faster.
Chill Y/N you'll never see him ag-
"Hey babe."
Ah shit.
You froze as you saw him, leaning on his motorcycle right in front of the door to your dorm. You clutched hard onto the straps of your bag, your head screaming at least seven different things.
He had his hood up again, but this time you could see him a little better. He had dark blonde hair and a rather handsome face- Y/N what the fuck don't think that.
"You've kept me waiting for a while." He pushed himself off the bike, taking a step towards you.
"Take one more step and I scream." You snapped.
He snickered low. "You can try if you want." He simply said. "I wouldn't."
You stayed silent, eyeing him as he kept getting closer. "Stop." You finally choked out. "What do you want?"
"Listen, babe." He finally stopped walking forward. "I don't want to be here any more then you want me here, but I had to come."
"Why?" You narrowed your eyes.
"Believe it or not, you're in trouble." He tilted his head as he looked down on you. "And I need you to come with me."
Your breath lurched at that. "Come with you? You're insane if you think that-"
"Look." He ran his hand through his hair, getting his hood to fall. "Sweetheart I don't mind forcing you on that bike, i've done it before. I'm sure someone as small as you would be a breeze." You felt your chest flip. "I'd really rather not, but if it comes to that then so be it."
You sucked in a breath as he grew closer. You attempted to scream, had your mouth open and everything, but before anything could happen, his hand was over your mouth, his other arm bringing your body very close to him.
His eyes changed as he looked down at you, actually making you nervous.
"You try something like that again and I won't hesitate to knock you out, understand?" He growled low in his throat.
You froze in your spot, too scared to do anything as he started pulling you towards the bike. "Just remember, babe." He hissed in your ear, his breath sending shivers down your spine. "I'm only keeping you safe."
