This was the third day in a row that Hoseok wasn't home. He had been at the studio working on god knows what, always shooting you a text letting you know that he was yet again not going to make it home. Normally you wouldn't mind this, you've been without him for longer and you understood this was his work, but you kinda needed him.
Five days or so ago you came down with a cold. It was just a normal head cold, nothing you haven't dealt with hundreds of times, so you didn't even bother to tell Hoseok, but despite being days, it was still lingering, and it had only gotten worse. You had gone to work the first few days and finally, your manager sent you home when you almost fainted.
That was two days ago, you were still in the same spot on the couch, barely able to stand up. When you weren't sleeping you were taking medicine and when you weren't taking medicine you sleeping. You haven't eaten anything since yesterday morning. You've tried to at least keep yourself hydrated but it was getting hard, just the thought of getting up made you dizzy.
You knew you would probably feel ten times better if you ate something or got a proper night sleep, but there was barely any food in the house and Hoseok wasn't here to help. You had thought about calling your best friend over but you knew she was out of town until tomorrow.
After another hour of tossing and turning you finally decided to text Hoseok.
"Are you super busy?"
Nothing. It had been over 30 minutes when you tried again.
"I really need your help, do you think you can take a break for an hour?"
Still no response, and you were feeling your eyes growing heavy once again. Risking a whole lot, you tried calling him. Not to your surprise, he didn't pick up, but you tried one more time, after a solid second, hearing his voice come through.
"What?"
You flinched at his voice. He sounded mad. "Hobi, I'm sorry if I interrupted something-"
"Don't waste time apologizing, you did interrupt something, so what is it?"
Great. Now you felt bad. "I'm really sorry but-"
"I told you not to waste my time." He growled out. "I am super busy and I know I haven't been home in a few days but I've made sure to text you every night. What could possibly be so important that you have to be blowing up my phone all day when you know I have no time for you right now?"
He must've been really stressed to talk to you like that. Didn't mean it didn't hurt you. "Fine, forget I called."
"Oh great." He sighed out in irritation. "You're mad at me now, fantastic."
"I'm not I just need-"
"I really don't have time for this now Y/N. I'll call you when I'm free but until then don't bother me."
You heard the click on the other side and clenched your jaw, dropping your phone on the floor, not even caring. You felt worse now if that was even possible. You were so tired of feeling this way that you forced yourself up and put on a jacket, looking around for your keys to at least go and buy some stronger meds.
You started feeling your head grow heavy the moment you stepped outside. You had just gotten the driver's side door unlocked when your body finally gave up on you and you hit the ground.
HOSEOK POV
"Let's take a break." Namjoon sighed, resting his hand on Hoseok's shoulder. "I'm hungry."
