You had just recently moved into your first apartment. You had been living at the school dorms previously, but now you had a place of your own. It was small, only a one bedroom apartment, but it's not like you needed much space by yourself.
The place you lived was really nice. There were a bunch of different complex buildings and there were parks and a few pools on the property. You had only been staying here for about a week and you were already loving it.
You had been gone all day so you didn't make it back till around 10, but you still had to take your dog out on a walk. You've had Riley since you were in high school. He was a German shepherd, and he was full grown now. You honestly thought about getting a two bedroom apartment just because of him, he took up the whole god damn bed.
Riley yanked on the leash as you struggled to trail behind him. You were still pretty new with your way around, but you did know that not too far from here there was a small dog park, and since you were tired, not really wanting to get your arm yanked off, you decided to just let him run around there for a while.
Summer was just starting, so there was a nice breeze kissing your skin. Since it was night it was a little chilly, but you didn't need a jacket or anything yet. You had sat yourself down on one of the benches, watching Riley run around in circle, enjoying the quiet.
The quiet didn't last long though, as Riley ran up to the side of the fence and started barking. You jerked your head up to see him trying to get over the fence upon seeing another dog.
"Ugh." You muttered. "Riley, you jerk stop it." You called.
Riley stopped barking and looked at you, but started again when another dog came up. You rolled your eyes and stood, walking over to your dumb dog, clapping a few times to get his attention.
"This is why you have no friends." You bend down and ran your hands over his head. He calmed down immediately, but jerked his attention to the gate that was now being open.
You stood and turned to see a small girl opening the gate, letting the two dogs from outside in. She stumbled against the dogs as they pushed against her, but eventually made it in. Riley ran for the two dogs, playing with them immediately.
"Hi!" The girl cheerfully smiled over at you as she closed the gate. She had a towel around her, and it looked like she wasn't wearing anything under.
"Hi." You narrowed your eyes slightly.
"Is that your dog?" She pointed to Riley. "What's his name?"
You pursed your lips. This girl couldn't be more than five, what was she doing out here alone at this time of night?
"Riley." You answered with a small smile.
"He's really big." The girl reached out to pet Riley who was still running around with the other two dogs. "These are mine. That's Tae Tae, and he's Pasta."
You couldn't help but snort out a laugh. "Pasta?"
The girl shrugged. "He looks like pasta, don't you think? It was my dad's idea."
You shook your head with a smile as you looked at the dog. It was a golden retriever, so it was yellow ish, but in no way did he look like pasta.
"Genie!"
You looked over at the sound of a man's voice. He had come out of the building closest to the park, walking very quickly over to where you were.
"Genie I said to wai-" He froze when he saw you. "Oh, hello." He smiled awkwardly as he slipped in past the gate.
"Hi." You said shyly.
You were flustered upon looking at him. He looked pretty young, early, mid 20's maybe. He had soft brown hair and gentle eyes. His face was almost perfectly shaped. He was tall and had broad shoulders.
