If I was your girlfriend

"Jimin," You sighed, looking at him with pitiful eyes. "You said you weren't upset anymore."

"I wasn't." He grumbled his head in his hands. "Until Jungkook said that he overheard her talking with some of her friends, saying she and butt chin were going to this weekend's festival together. We were going to go to that."

"Butt chin?" You couldn't help but snicker.

"It's not funny Y/N!" Jimin cried out in distress. "Why am I even talking to you, you've never been in a relationship before like you would know how this feels." He rolled his eyes.

You clenched your jaw, forcing yourself not to snap at him. Jimin's girlfriend broke up with him a few weeks ago. They had been dating for almost a year so it was a pretty big deal but what confused you, is she didn't really have a problem with it, moved on rather fast by the sound of it. You had been Jimin's friend since your first year of college. Two years later and you were still going strong, even when he was dating that girl. Shocker, you developed feelings for him, but never in a million years would you let him know, even when he was single.

"I guess I'll just leave you to melt in your misery." You let out a dramatic sigh, pushing yourself off the bench the two of you were sitting at.

"Y/N~" Jimin dragged out, looking up at you. "Don't."

"I'm trying to help you Jimin, but if you're just going to offend me then I really rather not." You crossed your arms over your chest.

"Sorry." He muttered with no feeling behind it whatsoever.

You brushed it off, sitting back down. "What is it you want me to do?"

"I don't know." He flung his head back. "I had already bought the tickets, which cost a lot for one, and you can't return them. Maybe I should just sell them back to someone."

"Whaa," You breathed. "If I was your girlfriend I'd at least pay you back."

Jimin suddenly sat straight up, looking at you with incredibly wide eyes. "That's it!"

"What?" You jerked back, surprised. "Make her pay you back?"

"No!" Jimin almost bounced with excitement. "You be my girlfriend!"

You choked on your own breath, already feeling a heavy blush reach your checks. "I-Uh... I don't think that's a... a good idea."

"Why not?" Jimin shrugged it off. "We're best friends already, that's basically what couples are. That way she'll see that I've moved on just as fast as she has."

"I realize that I have read ten times more fanfictions then you have, but you should still know these types of things never end up well."

"Fanfictions?" Jimin raised an eyebrow. "The hell is that?"

You almost smacked yourself in the forehead. "Nevermind."

"Y/N please!" Jimin grabbed your hands, shaking them back and forth. "This'll make her so jealous! She hated you when we were dating, it's perfect!"

You blinked. "She did? Why?"

"Why does that matter?" Jimin shook his head. "Come on Y/N this is the best idea I've ever had."

"Not true." You said right away, taking your hands away from his. "You do realize you're using me, right?"

"No Y/N that's not it." He quickly said. "It's just-" He stopped himself, chewing on his bottom lip.
