Chapter Twenty Six: Room 311

 Audrey cleared her throat. " Are you listening to me or do you need some time? "

" This is all way too hard to digest Auds... " I said looking down at the white hospital sheets, which to be honest made me nauseous. " But hey, go on. "

She exhaled. " Sawyer got completely pissed. It was like watching an animal. All he could think of was how to hurt Stacey. And for me....it was really easy to manipulate him cause he was vulnerable. I took advantage of him and planted the idea of tricking Fawcett inside his mind. She was a nice girl. Probably too nice. But when Sawyer wants something he gets it, that's how we all worked. And he got Fawcett, the same way he got you."

I took a deep breath, trying to convince myself that I need to know all of this. I know I can do it. So we can finally stop everything.

" She was so fragile. So one day, we had a party at Nicky's summer house which was by the river. And we heard Fawcett talking to Stacey. No one really knew anything about them. They were very mysterious about their lives , and no one knew Stacey was going to come. So we knew something was really fishy. For the first time we felt like we should be worried about all of this. "

" So I sat there with Nic behind some bushes trying to understand what they're saying."  She took a deep breath.

 " Stacey knew, she found out and told Fawcett everything. But she got mad, she didn't believe her, she couldn't see how mental she has gotten. Long story short, they got into a fight, and that's where it got ugly and we HAD to go stop them. "

" Fawcett was going insane, she was screaming at us to tell her the truth. So we did, and we laughed....but for Fawcett that was icing on the cake... " Audrey's voice broke into million pieces.

" Can you go on? " I asked placing my hand on top of hers.

" Yeah, I need to. " She smiled at me. " She broke down, fell on her knees crying....and then, then she took out a small box of pills and swallowed them. "

Audrey made a long pause, her eyes glued to the floor.

" Auds...? " I asked. 

" Audrey what happened next? I need to know, please. "

" We just....we panicked. It's cause we panicked. " She nervously said. " It's just cause of that, I mean, yes. We panicked. We...we told Stacey we were going to call an ambulance. But, but we just left. We left her there...to die. "

Audrey broke in tears. " I'm sorry, we didn't mean to get this far. It was never supposed to get this far. 

" We called Zeo, Sawyer and Fay and we swore to deny everything. I mean, since there was no one else there except Stacey , we would just deny the whole thing. It was our word against Stacey's. "

" We decided to go to school the next day not to raise any suspicion. There was a really weird atmosphere...no one knew, no one cared. "

She frowned. " It was almost as if she never existed. "

" After that, all we heard was that Fawcett mysteriously disappeared. No one knew how, no one knew why...We heard a million different stories about her. That she's in a mental hospital, that she's dead, that someone raped her. People even said she staged her own break down and left for Brazil for ever. Some even claimed to have seen her that night..." 

I sighed. " Audrey... I can't really say what you did wasn't horrible. But what's done is done. Now we need to untangle this mess. So is there anything else? What about the tattoos? " 

" Oh....I forgot. " She replied. " After a few months we heard this rumor that she's actually alive. People said she was in a mental hospital, so we tried gathering some information. We thought of going to see her...and we did. We completely changed our appearences so that nothing would go wrong and drove to the mental hospital. But as soon as we got there...the room was empty. It was room 311... "

I gasped remembering the numbers on the tattoos.

311...

" Guys! " Nicky's voice broke the silence in the room.

" Guys Sawyer is dying! " She screamed.

A/N : Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, long time no read :3 I hope you enjoyed this horrible chapter xD I finally got the whole backstory done. Ugh, it was so boring having to explain all of this tbh xD Was it tiring? Was it interesting? Was it confusing? Lemme know in the comments!
