Today was the day where they got to train in the hospital. Of course, they would be split into groups and sent off with a couple of doctors. They were to take notes on everything they learn. Roquette stood in front of the mirror, brushing her short hair. Kaldur was still asleep and she didn't wish to wake him. For now she had no clue how long he would be home before having to leave again. The butterfly barette holding her bangs back from her face. The sun streamed in through the window's as she grabbed her school bag. Surprisingly when she looked back at the bed Kaldur was gone. Had she been dreaming?

Sighing she swung the bag around her shoulder and left the room. The train left in an hour from now. Driving to the hospital and parking there was no problem. But it would be cheaper to drive to the train station and then take the train. The mouth watering smell of bacon and eggs came from the kitchen. Looking in she saw Kaldur standing there and cooking. "That ass though" she said with a satisfied smile. He turned around to look at her as she blushed. He was still in his boxers but she wouldn't try lying to herself. He looked mighty fine in them.

"I though I would prepare breakfast" he said as she laughed and walked over.

The bag being dropped onto one of the kitchen chairs. He leaned back against the counter as she walked up to him. A smug smile playing against her lips as she brushed her lips against his. "Christmas is coming up soon" she whispered as he hummed in response. The Holiday's were always fun for them. "So I have class for a couple hours. We're getting acquainted with Gotham General Hospital" she said as he hummed again in response. The food began to sizzle as he quickly moved to take the pan off of the burner.

Roquette couldn't help but laugh at his actions. Even though she was happy now there was still one question burning in his mind. "How long are you staying until you have to go back?" she asked, bracing for some crazy answer. Sometimes he would pop in for what could be a day or two weeks. "The Coach let us out for our Holiday break" he said as her eyes lit up. A warm feeling bubbling inside of the pit of her stomach. She couldn't help but kiss him. His eyes went wide as he dropped the pan. It clattered upon impact with the stove. "Damn" he said as she chuckled. Kaldur was never one for cursing aloud.

Sighing she grabbed her school bag and the car key's. They jingled in her hand as she smiled. "Okay handsome get dressed and we can go and get breakfast. After that you can drop me off at the train station" she said as he nodded and left to go upstairs. During his brief absence she quickly cleaned up the ruined food and threw it away. He came back downstairs all dressed as they slipped their jacket and boots on. As they walked outside the bitter cold air hit them. A shiver running down her spine as they hurried to the car.

The drive wasn't as bad as she thought it would be although the roads weren't cleared yet. "So how's your Olympic training?" she asked; they were now seated in Pauli's Diner. A waitress walked over; blonde hair tied into a bun and an orange and white uniform on. She looked to be in her mid forty's or early fifties. "What can I get you two?" she asked flipping the small notepad open. Roquette's eyes scanned the menu before she decided on pancakes. Kaldur just ordered a water and some toast. "Not hungry?" she asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"No, besides I know you won't finish your meal" he said as she narrowed her eyes at him.

"So if I eat all of it we can go to the cinema tonight after you pick me up?" she questioned.

"If you don't finish eating it then we will see a movie of my choosing" Kaldur said as Roquette smirked.

"You are on Waterboy" she said as he blushed.

That was one of her cheesy nicknames she gave him. The food came sooner rather than later. Most of the Diner was empty besides a few people drinking coffee and reading the papers. Kaldur took another sip of his water as she poured maple syrup all over the pancakes. "I will not be beaten" she said before digging into the food. He watched slightly amused by how much she had eaten in the first few bites. Grabbing a knife he spread some jam on his toast before taking a bite.
