Chapter 36

Poor Bart. They didn't mean to disgust the poor teen. Then again he's done some stuff too. Quickly the two of them got changed into something comfy. Artemis was trying hard to contain her laughter. Wally looked miserable in the sweater his mother gave him. It was bright red with a giant yellow 'W' in the middle. It was the ugliest thing she had ever seen on him.

He shared her opinion on the sweater. However she stayed quiet as she looked away. He crossed his arms narrowing his emerald eyes at her. "What's wrong Arty?" he asked with a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "Nothing" she muttered as he walked over.

"Oh wait do you think this is funny?" he asked as she tried not to laugh.

A small smile was beginning to appear on her face. She was trying so hard not to laugh. He followed her upstairs into the house. Bart was sitting on the couch pressing his face into the throw pillow. "This is so itchy" Wally muttered to himself. Artemis sat down on the loveseat and leaned against her hand. Wally sat in the chair across from her. Purposely flexing and stretching to show off the sweater.

The only reason he was wearing it was to make his mother happy. After all she said it took a long time to make it. "Like what you see babe?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows. Artemis just about had it. Immediately she began laughing. It was hard to contain and she was trying so hard to stay quiet. It was still quite early and other people were trying to sleep. Wally had a satisfied smile on his face as he watched her laugh.

Bart lifted his face up from the pillow to look at her as well. He still couldn't get rid of what he saw from his mind. It would forever be burned into his mind. "You two ruined my mind" he whined before dropping his head back onto the throw pillow. It was surprisingly dark in the house. There weren't any light's on which was a surprise. However because it was still dark out it was making her tired. For some reason she always felt tired when it was dark.

He could see her eyes beginning to droop. She was leaning against her hand as she slouched in the loveseat. It was actually quite comfy to lounge in. Eventually her eyes closed again as she was sucked into a dreamless sleep. Some hours passed as everyone else came down. Bart was fast asleep sprawled across the couch. Wally walked over and picked up the blonde.

Taking a seat in the loveseat and placing her on his lap. She subconsciously curled into him, burying her face into his chest. The sweater was surprisingly soft on the outside. Barry walked in with a coffee as he took a seat on the couch moving Bart over. Wally's Dad was still upstairs sleeping in while his mother and Aunt Iris were in the kitchen. "She looks to be a keeper" Barry said with a smirk as he took a sip out of the mug.

"I know but we still have some time. I want it to be a surprise when I ask" he said, cheeks tinted a light red.

"Well if anything you have my permission" Barry said with a sly smile.

Wally sighed looking down at his girlfriend. She was so cute when she was sleeping. A huddled up on his lap pressing her face into his chest. There was a slight noise as Bart woke up. Stretching his arm's out as he yawned looking around. "Is it morning?" he asked now rubbing his eyes. He acted like such a child sometimes. "Yes it's morning" Barry said ruffling the teen's auburn hair. Iris and Mary walked in, both with mugs of coffeein their hands.

"Hey Bart we need to talk honey" Mary said as the teen frowned.

A worried expression now on his face as he looked at all of them.

He was so confused as to why he was being arrested. He had done nothing wrong, yet. It was quiet as he sat in the back of the cruiser. All he could see was his wife's disappointed look on her face. Kaldur however had done nothing wrong. He always followed the law and wouldn't dream of breaking it. After all he wanted a family and wanted to have a clean recored when he had it.
