Today was the day he was going to see Cassie for the first time in months. The entire time his heart was beating like a thousand stallions racing on a dirt track. For once he wasn't greeted by a snide remark from Damian at the breakfast table. In fact the boy wasn't even there. Alfred walked out of the kitchen and set a plate down in front of him and Stephanie. "Where's the demon?" he asked while cutting his pancakes.
"I believe Master Damian stayed at Miss Mar'i's house again" Alfred replied before setting another plate down at the head of the table.
Bruce walked into the dining room staring down at his cellphone. The man never seemed to be off of that thing. His dark hair was gelled back and he wore a luxurious dark navy blue suit. "Are you going to eat Master Bruce?" Alfred asked as the man stood up from his chair. Tim rolled his eyes, he knew he wasn't going to stay. "Actually I'm running late but thank you for the breakfast" Bruce said before leaving the dining room.
He never really acknowledged any of them that lived there. Unless he needed something of course. "Can't blame Damian for not wanting to be here" he looked over to see Stephanie leaning back in her chair. She had her feet up on the table as she balanced the plate of food in her lap. "Please sit properly Stephanie" Alfred scolded as he took a seat where Bruce once sat.
For a moment they all sat quietly, Stephanie shifting around to sit properly once again. "Hey, isn't that girlfriend of yours coming today?" Stephanie asked while popping a piece of pancake in her mouth. She should've been dressed for school already yet she was still in her pajamas. Stephanie never took her studies as serious as Tim did. "Yeah actually she is, I'm going to meet her at the hotel her schools staying at" he said as she smirked and nodded.
"Wow such a romantic. Anyways thanks for the breakfast gramps it was delish" she said standing up and kissing Alfred's cheek before prancing out of the room.
She was the only one who referred to Alfred as gramps. The old man didn't mind, in fact it made him smile. "Are you nervous Master Timothy?" he asked as Tim looked over at him and quickly shook his head. Okay so maybe he was nervous. School did not go slow enough and soon the bell had rung. "You can do this Tim. So what you haven't seen her for months you got this" he said as he exited the school grounds and headed through the city.
Tim was a couple minutes early as he lingered inside of the hotel lobby. It was quiet and there were only a few people chatting around the premise. He was nervous, hands clammy and he felt so warm. The doors opened as loud excited chatter filled the front lobby. He turned around to see the group of students walking inside. That's when he spotted her, he swore his heart stopped when he laid eyes on her. "Tim? Tim!" she yelled dropping her bags and running over.
The girl jumped onto him and swung her arms around his neck. He stumbled back before graciously accepting the embrace.
