His mother definitely wouldn't let up on the questions. Mar'i actually found his mother a little scary. She just seemed so mean and violent. "Mar'i's mother has been kidnapped and I would like you to help us find her" Damian said as his mother crossed her arms. Eyes narrowed down at the poor girl. All she really wanted to do was get her mother back. She noticed how broken her father was when she was taken.

Mar'i couldn't help but feel as if this were all her fault. She could've stopped that man. She could have stopped all of this from happening. That's all she could really think about. There was suddenly the sharp end pointing towards her chest. Fear spiked through the youngs girl body. Damian yelled something to his mother in another language. "Her? Of all girl's you could have found suitable" his mother said. Mar'i was frozen in fear.

The sword was retracted away from her chest. A breath of relief escaping the girls lips. "Can you help mother?" Damian asked now standing awfully close to Mar'i. "Yes, but only if I can have dinner with your father" she said as he growled.

"Fine"

She felt as if the whole entire world was conspiring against her. Its been longer than a week, going on two now. Jon wasn't buying her act anymore. Especially since she tried to escape. Now she was once again a prisoner, his prisoner. She was handcuffed to the bed post. Unable to really move. Not to mention how uncomfortable this position was.

The door opened as he walked inside. He looked even more like a psychopath than he already was. His hair a mess, he hasn't even shaved. "Eat" he said as she turned her face away. She was sick to her stomach. If anything, eating was the last thing on her mind. "I said eat!" he yelled grabbing her face. She could feel his nails digging into her skin. The next thing she knew he was shoving food into her mouth.

Soon after that force feeding he left the room. Almost immediately she felt the buring sensation in her throat. Turning over to the side as she began to puke. Luckily it ended up on the floor and not on the bed. That's all she could do for the next thirty minutes. Zatanna hasn't been able to keep any sort of food down. In all honesty she thought she was dying. But maybe she was okay with the thought of that.

Escaping was seemingly impossible now. It felt like no one was even trying to find her now. "They've all probably moved on with their lives" She thought to herself. That was probably the best. Her mind had gone to the dark side. All she could think of was the ways she could die. Starvation definitely seemed like her best bet. Its not like she could move away from this bed to do anything else.

Zatanna was practically skin and bones. After all she wasn't able to eat much. Even drinking was hard. Sometimes she would puke that up too. An hour later the door opened as Jon walked in. "You bitch! Look what you did to the floor!" he yelled before slapping her across the face. Bruises were scattered across her entire body. Her poor frail body. "Just kill me" she whispered to herself.

All he did was start to violently shake her back and forth. Every word he said didn't make it into her head. Everything he said was just white noise. There was a fury in his eyes that she's never seen before. It actually made her feel a new kind of fear. He was going to do something. Something that she wasn't going to like.

There were no leads on her. Dick was beginning to lose all hope. He hasn't even been home. Mar'i has been staying at the manor while he was here. It was another late night at the precinct. He refused to go home and be alone. Even though he was taken off the case he still worked on it. The Commissioner has tried to talk to him. Tried to explain that maybe she was dead.

But he wouldn't believe that. There was no way Zatanna was dead. She couldn't be dead. All of his friends have tried to comfort him. Someone suddenly cleared their throat. He glanced up to see Artemis and Wally standing there. "Hey dude" his best friend said. The two of them took a seat. Artemis placing a cup of coffee on his desk. It was littered with paper's and other various things.

Why did he feel so empty inside? All of this was eating him from the inside out. He wanted to scream. Wanted to just find her. He wanted to hold her in his arms. "Dick it's been almost two weeks, maybe-" Artemis began to say.

"No, she's not-she's not dead" he said hearing his voice crack.

He wasn't willing to believe that. There was so much he needed to still say to her. There was no way she could just be gone. He could feel that she was still alive. She had to be.

They came back from the farm three day's ago. Only then when he arrived back he heard of Zatanna's disappearance. Wendy was alright, a little sad though. She didn't know Zatanna too well but she still felt something. There was a heaviness that's been hanging over everyone. After all there were some people attending Gotham U that came from Happy Harbor. They knew who Zatanna Zatara was.

With that they mourned. Some people had hope that she was alright. But Conner was an idealist. He came to the terms that his friend might be dead. He just wish he knew sooner that she had gone missing. There wasn't much time at the farm to watch television. There was simply too much to do. "Hey Conner" Wendy said taking a seat next to him.

They were in a cafe. Well he was in a cafe, she just so happened to show up. It was raining outside. Perfect for what the two of them were feeling. She sipped her coffee. Hell knows she's been needing one. The professor's were laying off of them. Since what has happened. He nodded in response. He's been spacing out a lot lately. Conner wasn't good at really showing his emotions outwardly towards other's.

Wendy had learned that awhile ago. There were dark circles around her eyes. Clearly she hasn't been sleeping properly. "You look...bad" he said in a low voice.

"Tired and sad" she responded.

Everyone was tired and sad. Including him. There was a heavy cloud that just seemed to hang over all of them. The rain was tapping against the glass. She sat across from him in the booth. There was a comforting silence between the two of them. She didn't know what to say to Conner. Reaching forward she placed her hand on his. Surprisingly he closed his hand around her's. God knows he needed the comfort right now.

He hasn't heard anything back from Dick or the two men that had visited him. Kaldur went and saw Dick after being released that day. He wasn't told much but it was enough. It was pouring rain outside. At least it was washing some of the snow away. He was sitting on the side of their bed. Roquette was curled up underneath the blankets. It was mid-day by now. However the sun was concealed behind the dark clouds hanging over the city.

The guilt that he felt inside was killing him. Lying to her was killing him slowly. Especially adding onto the already existing sadness he felt. The both of them were in such a depressed state. Roquette felt like such a bad person for not knowing sooner. Not knowing that her friend's been missing. He heard her sniffle as he looked back at her.

She was lying on her side facing the wall. Tears rolling down her cheeks. Everything seemed like it was going to shit. "Roquette" he whispered, resting his hand on her hip. She wiped the tears from her cheeks and sat up. The blanket pooling around her waist. "I'm fine" she stuttered out in a shaky life. The world just seemed so cruel as of late. The worst part was that she could've prevented Zatanna going missing.

She met the god damn psychopath outside of the hospital that day. She remembers distinctly running into him. Even learning his name and she didn't even know. She felt as if all of this was her fault. "Kal it's all my fault" she said as tears slowly began to make its way down her face once again. He wrapped his arms around her. Feeling her hot tears soak his shirt. "My love if there's anything I know, its not your fault. None of this is. You did not know that this would happen" he whispered gently rubbing her back up and down.

Her arms wrapped around him holding him close. All she needed was comfort. Kaldur could give her that. It felt as all hope was lost. None of them had heard anything from Dick yet. Even the news reporter's stopped covering the story on Zatanna's disappearance. Everyone thought she was dead. Little by little her hope was draining. Slowly being siphoned out of her body.

Kaldur rested his head on top of hers. Flurries of thoughts were rushing through his head. It was as if there was a tornado messing everything up inside. "Its so unfair Kal. She's so nice, she had a family" she cried out. Her body was shaking from crying so much. It was the four of them. Megan, Artemis, Zatanna, and herself. The four of them were like sister's. Now there was only three of them. Only three.

A/N: Yeah I did a two week time skip to get things moving :p
