I'll Be Back ~ Riley+Farkle

"Riley!" I said as I walked into the doctors room and hugged her. I kissed her passionately and she pulled out after a few seconds.

"Farkle... I'm so so sorry-"

"Sorry? What are you sorry for?" I asked as she started to cry.

"It's all my fault... I shouldn't have said anything about Maya behind her back-"

"You were speaking the truth, Riley. And she isn't a very good best friend if she let her so-called boyfriend, hit you! Which is also unacceptable." I said as Riley just cried more and more. "I hate to see you like this, I don't think you should come to school tomorrow, I'll talk to Lucas then Maya, and I'll bring Maya round to talk to you. Lucas isn't going anywhere near you."

"Thank you, Farkle." Riley whispered as I kissed her. "I love you."

"And I love you." I said back as we hugged. After a while, we walked out the doctors room and I took Riley home. I told Topanga what happened and apologised to her.

"Farkle... It wasn't your fault. Its Lucas I'm targeting." Topanga says as I nodded.

"Mom... I'm tired." Riley said as me and Riley went to her room. Riley sat on her bed and looked at the floor.

"What's the matter Riles?" I said, kneeling on the floor in front of her.

"I don't want to keep arguing with them anymore, Farkle. And I think we should help that happen." Riley said, lifting her head and looking at me.

"How would we help?" I asked.

"We should break up, Farkle."

Those words.

I couldn't understand why she would want to do this to me, to us.

"Riley-"

"I know we love each other. But you know that this is for the best. We need to break up for a while, and when the argument stops, we'll make things work-"

"Things are working Riley!" I said, crying. I stood up and cried to myself. "It's Lucas and Maya that need to talk... Me and you are fine-"

"That's what you think." She said as I began to question everything.

"Are you not happy? Was this relationship making you unhappy?-"

"Who said I was unhappy?!" Riley shouted as she started crying.

"I didn't mean it like that... Riley... I love you-"

"And I love you Farkle!-"

"Why do you want to break up then?" I whispered as Riley stood there, silently. "I don't understand where all this has come from."

"Farkle, can we just not be together for a while?" Riley asks. It takes me a few seconds to reply.

"Because I love you, I'm going to do what you want. But, you have to promise me that you won't get with anyone else during this." I said as Riley kissed me.
