I'll Be Back ~ Riley+Farkle

Long Time No See

I got home and I walked in the house.

"Mum! I'm home!" I said as she ran to me.

"Farkle... we have a visitor..." Jennifer says as she takes me into the dining room... It's my dad.

"Dad..." I say as he smiles at me.

"Hey, son. Long time no see!" He says as he looks mainly at Jennifer.

"Why are you here?" I ask.

"I've come to mainly patch things up between me and your mother and also to catch up with you." He said as he smiled and I walked to him and hugged him.

"I've missed you, Dad." I said as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"I've missed you too, my Farkley little son." He said as I laughed a little. I pulled out the hug and sat opposite him.

"Dinner's almost ready, let me get everything ready." Jennifer said as she ran to the kitchen.

"Have you and mum patched things up?" I asked.

"Well I've only been here for 10 minutes but we are back to normal..."

"What do you mean by normal, exactly?" I ask.

"Me and your mother have decided to get back together but we are not re-marrying straight away... this is a fresh start, for the both of us." He said as I smiled.

"Are you going to be moving back in?" I said as he chuckled.

"Yes, but not for another month, I have to sell my house first." He said as I nodded.

We catched up a little, we talked about football and science stuff, mainly science stuff. And I told him that me and Riley were together and about Topanga's idea, he was happy for me. At dinner, I told Jennifer about me and Riley...

"I knew it! You two are so cute together!" She said as I blushed.

"So you'll come to the triple date?" I said, hoping she would.

"Yeah, but I would need-"

"I'll come as your date." Stuart said as Jennifer kissed him on the cheek.

"Thank you." She said as she continued eating her dinner.

I ate my dinner quite quick so I could call Riley, as soon as I ate it, I went upstairs and got my phone off charge and called her, she picked up straight away.

Farkle:
Riles?

Riley:
Hey Minkus.

Farkle:
I told my mother about us...

Riley:
W-What did she say?

Farkle:
She's happy for us

Riley:
Phew! That's good, did you tell her about the triple date?

Farkle:
Yeah... um... my mum is coming and also... my dad...

Riley:
Wait... your dad is back?

Farkle:
When I came home earlier, he said he wanted to catch up, so we did and now my parents are dating again and they're thinking of getting re-married next year or something.

Riley:
Oh... are you happy that he's back?

Farkle:
I guess, it just feels weird at the moment... did you tell your dad?

Riley:
Not yet, he's still not home from work, but luckily he's getting a new job as a teacher soon so he won't have so many late shifts.

Farkle:
What school will he be going too?

Riley:
I have no clue.

We both laughed a little.

Farkle:
Riley...

Riley:
Yeah?

Farkle:
I-

Riley:
Shit! My dads home, I'll call you back, Farkle!

Farkle:
Oh...er...okay!

Riley:
Bye babe!

Farkle:
Bye, I lo-

She hung up before I could say it, the L bomb. After that phone call, I'm glad I didn't really say it, 1. Because Riley probably wouldn't have said it back. And 2. We only got together today!

After about 10 minutes, I had another shower, because why not? And I put my pyjamas on and went on my phone to see that Riley texted me.

"Daddy is fine with us going out but he doesn't want to go on the triple date unless your parents are definitely going..." she texted.

I texted back;

"Tell Cory that they're definitely coming! X"

She texted back about 3 minutes later.

"Okay Donnie Barnes x" you're probably wondering what the nickname, Donnie Barnes is about.

In fourth grade, we received a yearbook and in the awards section and I won the award for Most Likely to be Farkle. They turned me into a catergory. Riley won Most Likely to Smile Herself to Death. Me and Riley both took our awards to heart and changed personalities, I was Donnie Barnes, Regular Guy. Whereas, Riley turned into Moroshia M Black, Who wears everything black. We eventually changed back when we realised how important our awards were but since, we've always teased each other for it, her goofiness always amazes me.

"Okay Moroshia x"

She texted back;

"Funny one Minkus☠️"

"You know, Matthews👽"

I've never been more happier to call Riley Matthews mine... She's everything to me.
