A new day and a new training session. I got up out of bed and walked over to the bathroom. I opened the door and walked over to the sink, I got washed and brushed my teeth. When I finished, I walked back out and remembered that I put my old clothes in the wardrobe along with my school stuff. I looked in my blazer and found my iPod with my head phones still plugged in. I walked over to the couch and sat down on it. I looked through my iPod at photos of me with my friends, my family.. I smiled at every photo as I thought back to each and every day, and how much I actually enjoyed my time with my family and friends. I then looked at the time and realized that my training was going to start soon so I put my head phones in my ears, switched on my music and left my room. I put my iPod in my pocket and I walked down the corridor while listening to 'Lost It All' by Black Veil Brides. When I walked into the training room, no one was around. I took out one of my head phones and looked around.
"Ulquiorra? Grimmjow? Is anyone here?" I spoke but my voice just echoed off the walls. Then without realizing, I started to sing with the music playing. I put my other head phone back in my ear and then sat down on one of the rocks until someone showed up. I waited for about 10 minutes and got bored so I took my head phones out my ears and out of my iPod. I blasted the music from my iPod as I started to practice swinging my sword like I was battling a proper person. I started to see how much power I could actually put into my sword so I grabbed it by the hilt, raised it above my head and slashed it against a bolder. The same thing happened like last time, the bolder split in, two along with everything behind it and under it.
"Amber..." A voice started to whisper.
"Who's there?" I lowered my zanpakto as I responded.
"Amber..." The voice said again.
"Who's there?! Show yourself!" I then yelled.
"You know who I am." The voice then became more clear and spoke fluently.
"If I know who you are then come out and show yourself." I said.
"Turn around." I turned to see a lion standing behind me.
"A lion?" I placed my zanpakto in both hands in case the lion pounced at me.
"Yes..." It spoke. "However, I am no ordinary lion. As you can already see." He then started to circle around me.
"A normal lion isn't the size of a horse and they definitely can't speak English so yeah. I know you're not a normal lion." I stood still as he circled me.
"Indeed." He then stopped in front of me.
"Who are you then?" I asked again.
"Who am I?" He repeated my question. "Let's just say that I'm a very important part to your new life as an arrancar." I didn't say anything in response since I had no idea to what he was talking about. "Heh. I can tell you're still confused." He smirked.
"Yeah. A little bit." I responded.
"Let me give you another hint. Look at the hilt of your zanpakto." I raised my sword closer to my face and I noticed something.
"There's fur and this part looks like there's claw marks... Are you the soul of my zanpakto?" I asked, knowing I was right.
"Yes, I am." He nodded.
"I-I don't get it.."
"What don't you get?" He asked.
"Why is it that my new form makes me look like I'm a ware-wolf but the soul of my sword is a lion. It makes no sense. Dogs and cats don't get along. They mostly want to kill each other half the time." I put my zanpakto back in its sheathe.
"You obviously didn't look at your new form properly. Take a look at your ears that perch on your head. They don't look like dog ears to me." He then took a step towards me.
"So, my form isn't a dog?" I asked.
"No. It's not. Your form is the form of a mountain lion. One of the most beautiful breeds of us cats. I'm quite jealous of you for that." He sat down and looked straight at me.
"Why be jealous of looks? You are a Barbary lion. Your breed is brave, fearless, mighty and have a lot of courage. You are a magnificent creature compared to us humans." I said.
"That's the thing though. You aren't a human anymore. You're an arrancar with the body of a mountain lion. Be proud of your new form. Be proud to be a lion." He lifted his paw and placed it on my shoulder.
"I am, and before I forget, Ulquiorra told me that I had to find out the name of my zanpakto. Could you tell me your name, please?" I asked.
"My name?" He seemed shocked.
"Yeah, I didn't get it at first but everyone and everything has a name."
"I know. I have a name. I will tell you in time but I first need to see if you're worthy enough to know it." He then stood up and walked past me.
"And how am I meant to make myself worthy for you?" I turned but he disappeared. "Huh. I wonder where he went." I turned back, picked up my iPod and started to walk out of the training room when suddenly, I felt a huge gust spiritual pressure.
"Amber!" I heard someone yelling for me so I ran out to see Grimmjow running towards me.
"Grimmjow! Who's spiritual pressure what that?" I asked as I ran towards him. Then, the alarm went off.
"Intruders. Are you ready to put your training to the test?" He asked.
"But I still don't know what my zanpakto's name is. He told me that he would tell me when he thinks I'm worthy."
"Wait. You've spoken to the soul of your zanpakto?" He seemed quite shocked.
"Yeah. He was just in there a second ago but he disappeared."
"You've spoken to him. That's good enough. You're ready." He then grabbed my arm and we started running down the corridor.
"Where is the intruder then?" I asked.
"He's outside battling some of the lower arrancars. Are you ready to prove yourself to Lord Aizen then?" He then pushed me out of one of the doors and I saw someone in a black coat fighting a load of arrancars.
"Getsuga tenshou!" I heard the same voice yelling as he did on the day that I first met Ulquiorra.
"Oh my God..." I was shocked to see him there.
"What is it?" Grimmjow asked.
"It's him. He's the guy who attacked me." I clenched my fists in anger.
"Well, now you can attack him." Grimmjow stated.
"You're right." I then flash stepped up to where he was fighting the group of arrancars. The man then swung his sword around each of the arrancars and they all fell as a black light hit them. The man then stood up straight and looked at me.
"You're that girl..." He looked at me while trying to catch his breath.
"Yeah. I'm the girl who you attacked." I started to get really angry so my spiritual pressure rose.
"No.. No. That was an accident. I didn't mean to attack you. You just sort of got in the way..." He gasped at what he said.
"I just 'got in the way' did I? Got in the way of what?" I growled.
"I was fighting Ulquiorra..." That made me even more angry.
"Why?" I clenched my teeth to get my words out.
"Because he kidnapped my friend." After he said that, I didn't know who to believe.
"He... he did what?..." I was shocked but still in disbelief.
