Chapter 32

Amber's p.o.v.

The rest of the day went well. After the final bell, everyone went home but we headed straight to the pitty.

"So, where is this pitty?" Ulquiorra asked me.

"It's just up that hill." I pointed up to the top of the hill.

"It's just as bad as the tower in the school.." He sighed.

"Yeah. Sorry about that. It's a good place to meet though. Not many people go there often and even if there will be someone there, it'll only be about 5 people there at most." We continued to walk up towards bottom of the hill. "Let's go then." I sighed as we started to walk up the hill. By the time we got to the top, we finally reached the pitty.

"What is this?" Ulquiorra asked while looking around.

"It used to be a pit where people mined years ago. As you can tell, it hasn't been used for mining in quite some time now. The only time it gets used now is when people have been drinking. I guess I'm going to miss the tradition at the end of the year too..." I sighed.

"What tradition?" Ulquiorra asked.

"In year 11, you leave school for study leave at the end of May. The day you leave, everyone goes home, gets changed, grabs as much alcohol as they can carry and brings it here. Everyone gets drunk and it's meant to be quite a laugh. Plus, it'll be the last time to see a lot of people too since we all go our separate ways after we leave school. Some stay at school and go to sixth form, others go to collage and the rest get an apprenticeship or try to look for a job straight away. The final day is just a day to say goodbye to those you'll never see again." I sat down on the top of the wall and looked towards the school. "I went last year, even though I wasn't in year 11 yet, and seeing everyone together like that instead of seeing them all separated in school was quite nice. Everyone was getting along and there was no fights or arguments either. I didn't know everyone but I hoped to see everyone in my year getting along and having fun. I guess it's just a dream now. I doubt Lord Aizen would let me come back here just to see people getting drunk and myself getting drunk too." I laughed a little bit as the wind blew my hair into my face.

"What's so funny?" Ulquiorra asked.

"Well, I haven't had a proper drink in quite a while now and the last time I did, I was drinking with Esther. She was staying the night at mine and it was quite funny when she got drunk. Just thinking about it made me laugh. That's all." I smiled.

"Oh. I see." Ulquiorra sighed.

"Have you drunk before?" I asked him.

"I've drunk tea and that's it." He said while sitting next to me.

"That's not really alcohol but alright." I laughed.

"That's all Lord Aizen drinks and it's all we drink too. Except at special occasions. Whenever we have a successful battle, we have some sake but I've only had it once and I didn't really like it much." He sighed.

"Sake? Oh. That's mainly drunk in Japan. From what I know about it, it's also called 'rice wine' because it's made from fermented rice. Plus, it's meant to be quite dry too which can put a lot of people off even if the flavour is different each time you try it. That's probably why you didn't like it so much. It's better to start off on weak alcohol and then move onto stronger ones." I stood up and looked over the wall to see someone walking up the hill but I couldn't tell who. "It looks like someone is coming. Lets see who it could be." I said while sitting next to Ulquiorra again.

"What time is it?" Ulquiorra asked.

"I'll check." I took my iPod out of my pocket and checked the time. "It's almost 3 o'clock. Everyone should be arriving soon." I then put my iPod into my pocket, I could hear foot steps leading towards us.

"You're already here." I turned to see Grimmjow standing by me but he wasn't in his gigai.

"Where's your gigai?" Ulquiorra asked him.

"Lord Aizen said I wouldn't need it. He won't be in his either and you shouldn't be in yours, Ulquiorra. Only Amber should be seen first. You're ruining the plan." He snapped.

"Fine. I'll be back soon then." Ulquiorra got out of his gigai, picked it up and flashed away before we could say anything else.

"So, where is everyone?" Grimmjow asked me.

"I'm not too sure. I know some of them might be late because of where they live but I'm not too sure about everyone else." I sighed. "Where's Lord Aizen?" I asked him.

"He'll be here soon." He then sat next to me.

"What's his plan?" I asked.

"You'll find out soon enough, Amber." I looked straight ahead to see Lord Aizen in front of me. "When I was on my way here, I could feel all of their spiritual pressure coming here. They shouldn't be much longer and Ulquiorra is on his way back too. We'll need all the help we can get." I was going to ask him what he meant but then people started to come into view. First, Esther, Charlotte and Shannon walked up and not long after, Fabian, Bethany and Amy showed up, and finally, Leah and Jade turned up.

"Good, you're all here. Now just do what I say and everything will be alright." They all looked at me, confused. "Fabian, come here." He walked towards me and I whispered into his ear. "You can already see Ulquiorra, Grimmjow and Lord Aizen, right?" I asked him.

"Yeah. I can." He responded.

"Good." I moved away and smiled at him. "You just stand here for now." I grabbed his shoulders and moved him slightly to the left. I turned to everyone else who just looked weird.

"Just put them into a line." Lord Aizen told me.

"Alright. I need you all to get into a line so Bethany, you stand here, then Esther, Amy, Shannon, Charlotte, Leah and Jade." They were all standing in a line and facing me. Lord Aizen, Grimmjow and Ulquiorra stood behind them and pulled their souls out of their bodies so they could see them. They were all shocked.

"Calm down and I'll explain everything once you are back into your bodies." Lord Aizen said, calmly.

"And how are we supposed to do that?!" Esther yelled.

"Just calm down all of you. If you're all stressed then you won't be able to fit back into your bodies right." Ulquiorra snapped.

"Come on, guys." Bethany sighed. "So, Aizen. How do we get back into our bodies?" She asked calmly.

"Once you've calmed down, just wave your hand through your body and your soul will just be absorbed back into your body." He smiled and everyone did as he said, once they calmed down.

"Well, that was weird." Amy sighed.

"I'm sorry about that. It was the only way that we could get you to see us all." Lord Aizen walked around them and stood by me, along with Ulquiorra and Grimmjow. "Now then, lets get down to business." Lord Aizen explained the whole thing to them and they all seemed quite calm about it. I was really surprised at how calm they all were, except Fabian. He already knew about it so he wasn't as shocked the second time around. However, now we had to wait until the end of the story to see their true reactions.
