I finally woke up but I didn't know where I was. I sat up and looked around. The room looked like an old, traditional room that you would see in Japan.

"W-where am I?" I asked myself. I then heard someone walking closer to my room. The door then slid open and that quincy was standing in the door way.

"Oh good. You're finally awake." He then walked in and closed the door.

"You're that quincy... Uryu, right?" I asked.

"Yeah. It's good that you remember." He then knelt down beside me. "Do you remember anything else?" He asked.

"I remember Grimmjow fighting Ichigo... And Ulquiorra told me to go to my room... That's when I met you... And then the voice... That voice in my head... Telling me to kill you..." I struggled to remember and my head started to hurt.

"Don't strain yourself." Uryu made me lie down. He then got a towel, soaked it in cold water, drained it and placed it on my head. "It's good that you remember but it's not good to hurt yourself." He then sat down.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"I don't think you want to know. You wouldn't be happy if I told you." I looked at him and he didn't look happy.

"By the looks of things, you're the one who doesn't look happy." I laughed.

"Yeah." He laughed along with me. "You're right. I don't like being here and I don't want to be here but the fact that you saved my life, I couldn't just leave you in Los Noches by yourself."

"Wait... If I'm not in Los Noches then where am I?" I asked again. I then heard the door slide open and when I looked up, it was Renji.

"You're in the soul society." Renji blurted out with the truth.

"What..." I sat up and I was so confused. "Why am I here?!" I yelled.

"It's a long story and I think it's best explained by the captain of squad 8." He lent against the doorway and crossed his arms.

"And when will I see him?" I asked.

"Well, he's in the captain's meeting right now so I guess around lunch." He said.

"What time is it?"

"It's about 11." Uryu said while pushing his glasses up.

"So I've got to wait an hour... What makes you think that I won't escape by then?" I smirked.

"Because there's a barrier around your room and, even if you escape that, there's guards posted at every exit so good luck." Renji laughed.

"Great(!). There goes my escape plan." I lay back down and giggled to myself. "So, an hour then. Wake me up when he's done." I then turned over and felt someone's hand on my head. I looked up and saw Renji messing up my hair but avoiding my mask part on top of my head.

"Oh no. You're going to eat. You've been asleep for 5 days. You must be hungry." He smiled.

"5 days... I've been asleep for 5 days and you didn't find that important to mention..." I wasn't happy now.

"Never mind that." He then pulled me up. "Here. You need to keep your strength up." He smiled at me and handed me a tray of food.

"Fine then." I grabbed the tray and started to eat. "When I'm done, can I go in the shower?" I asked.

"Sure." Uryu responded. "There's one over there." He pointed over to a door in the corner of the room.

"Thanks." I turned to the tray of food and started to eat. I kept quiet until I was done but I inspected the room. There really was a barrier. It was all around the room and I guessed that there'd be one surrounding the outside of the room too. No luck with escaping but I wanted to stay anyway. I like knowing why I'm always important to some people...

"I'm done." I put my tray to the side and stood up. "I'm going to take a shower." I turned towards the door that Uryu pointed to earlier and started to walk over to it.

"Everything you need will be in the cupboard." Uryu said.

"Right. Thanks." I opened the door but before I closed it, I looked over a Uryu. "By the way, why are you still here?" I asked.

"Because you didn't kill me. I just wanted to make sure that you're alright in return." He kept his head down and his eyes shut.

"Hmm. Alright then." I then closed the door and walked over to the shower. I got undressed and switched it on. I got in the shower and as I felt the heat of the water hit my head and fall onto my back, I started to speak to myself, again...

"This just reminds me... Of my first shower in Los Noches and I could hear Grimmjow... and Ulquiorra... talking to each other... I remember what he said..." I then crouched down and hugged my legs. "He thought he was a monster... Yet he has the sweetest spirit but he always has the same sad look on his face... I wonder why..." I then shut up when I realized that Uryu could probably hear me. I stood up and started to wash my hair. When I rinsed the soap out, I heard someone knocking at the door. "Who's there?" I yelled.

"The captain is finished in the meeting. He says he wants to have tea with you." I heard someone speaking at the door but I didn't know who because of the water.

"Well, I'll be getting out soon so I'll meet him after." I shouted back.

"I'll wait outside for you." The person then walked away as I switched the shower off. I walked over to the cupboard and grabbed a towel. I rubbed it over my body and then wrapped it around my head. I got dressed and walked out the door. Uryu wasn't there anymore so I looked around the room for a hair dryer. I looked in some draws and found one, along with a brush. I took the towel off my head and started to brush my hair, then someone walked in.

"Are you ready yet?" It was a woman with black hair and glasses.

"Who are you?" I asked while still brushing my hair.

"I'm Lieutenant of squad 8. My name is Nanao."

"Alright. In response to your question, no. I'm not ready yet, Nanao. I need to dry my hair." I then plugged the hair dryer in and switched it on. I started to dry my hair and she closed the door. By the time I was finished, she just looked at me.

"Now I'm done." I stood up and turned towards her.

"Good. Follow me. I'll take you to my captain." She then opened the door and walked out. I quickly followed and then remembered the barrier.

"I can't leave this room. The barrier is still here." I sneered.

"So it is." She then waved her hand and the barrier broke. I sighed and walked out of the room. I closed the door and started to follow her again. We walked past a garden which I saw people practicing their fighting skills. I ignored them until we finally reached a room.

"Captain. I've brought her like you asked." She then opened the door and moved aside for me to walk in.

"Thank you, Nanao. You may leave us." The captain spoke without looking at her. She bowed and walked away. I then looked into the room to see someone sitting by a table with a captain's coat on but wearing a bigger coat that looked a bit weird. It was pink with flower patterns on it. He was also wearing a straw hat that was covering his face since his head was down.

"Can I come in?" I asked him.

"Yes. Take a seat, Amber." His voice was really familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I walked into his room and closed the door. I walked over to the same table and sat opposite him.

"I heard that you're the one who's going to tell me what happened the other day and to why I'm here. Is that true?" I asked him.

"Yes. I thought it would be better for me to tell you instead of someone else." He spoke but still kept his head down. His voice was really familiar but I couldn't figure out who it was.

"What is your name?" I asked.

"My name is Shunsui. Captain Shunsui Kyoraku." He then raised his head so I could see his face. I was shocked to meeting him. "Then again, you know me differently from being a captain, isn't that right, Amber?"

"F-father..." I was shocked. I couldn't believe it was really him.
