Chapter 33

"So, that's the story." Lord Aizen had finally finished and everyone seemed really calm. "What do you think?" He asked them all.

"Well, you've given us all proof but why is it that she has to go back?" Esther asked.

"Because she is my new Espada. When we return to Hueco Mundo, she will become the new 5th position and being able to have tasks of her own free will, as well as the tasks I will give her too." He sighed.

"Lord Aizen?! You're really making me part of the Espada?!" I was so shocked.

"Yes. That is what the meeting was about. I had to tell the others that you were going to be the new member." He turned to me and smirked. "Congratulations. Now since you won't be needing your gigai for a while, take it off please. If you keep using it for long periods of time, you'll run out of stamina so it's best to take it off for now."

"Alright." I took off my gigai and it fell to the floor. When I looked up, everyone was staring at me. "What's wrong?" I asked them.

"Your form has changed..." I looked at Ulquiorra and he was really shocked.

"Fascinating." Lord Aizen seemed pleasantly surprised, which was worrying.

"What?! How could it have changed?" I was so confused. "Excuse me for a moment. I need to do something." I bowed at Lord Aizen and then flashed towards the school. I went to the dance studio, there was a huge mirror so I was able to see myself. When I got there, I looked in the mirror to see that my ears had gone off the top of my head. Instead, my hair had turned midnight blue and my eyes had turned a deep shade of blue too. However, since my ears had gone, they were replaced with my left cheek being covered with a white mask with whiskers coming off it, it made me look more like a cat and when I turned, I noticed there was a lump under my jacket. I moved it to see a white tail behind me, coming from the lower part of my back. "Oh my days... I'm becoming more like a cat every day..." I sighed. I then left the school and went back to the pitty.

"Are you alright?" Ulquiorra asked me while walking towards me.

"Yeah but I think I might have to get a new coat when we get back." I sighed.

"What for?" He asked.

"Because of this." I moved my coat aside and revealed my tail.

"Oh..." He looked shocked.

"What's wrong, Amber?" I turned to see Lord Aizen looking at me.

"Oh. Sorry for leaving suddenly. I just wanted to see what I looked like and it turns out that I have gained a tail." I laughed.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Huh.." I walked over to him and moved my coat aside to show the tail.

"You've gained a tail..." He looked quite shocked.

"Yeah. It appears so. Is it normal?" I asked.

"No. It's not. However, it will come in handy when fighting. Turn around." He said.

"Of course." I turned and all I heard was the sound of fabric ripping. "Lord Aizen!" I turned my head to see a piece of my coat fly from his hand.

"There." He said as he walked around me. "That's better." I looked down to see that my coat had been torn and it ended at the bottom of my waist.

"Why did you do that, Lord Aizen?" I asked him.

"So it would be more comfortable for you to be able to walk around since you have a tail now." He smirked. "Now then. You have an hour to do what you want, then I wish to meet your family. Is that understood?" He asked in a serious tone.

"Yes, my lord." I bowed and he flashed away. I turned to see my friends talking but Ulquiorra and Grimmjow were just standing away from everyone.

"Amber?" I turned to see Fabian walking towards me.

"Yeah." I responded.

"Do you think we could talk?" He asked.

"Sure." He then grabbed my hand and we started to walk down the pitty.

I wonder what he wants to talk about...

Ulquiorra's p.o.v.

I watched as that boy grabbed Amber's hand and pulled her away from everyone else. I really didn't like seeing them together, nor did I like the idea of them being in a relationship in the past. I was worried and jealous but I knew that if I did something, she wouldn't be happy with me.

"You're not going to stop them?" Grimmjow asked me.

"No. She wouldn't be happy if I interrupted them." I sighed.

"You're Ulquiorra, right?" I looked up to see one of Amber's friends in front of me.

"Yeah." I responded.

"I'm Esther." She sat by me.

"Nice to meet you." I said sarcastically.

"What do you know about him?" She asked.

"Who?"

"Fabian." She responded.

"I know he used to be her boyfriend but that's about it." I sighed.

"Do you know anything of the details?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" I responded.

"The details of their relationship." She didn't look happy when saying that.

"No. I don't. Why?" I asked. "And why is it that you didn't look happy when saying that?"

"Because I don't like him. No matter what she says to me to try to change my mind about him, I'll never forgive him for hurting her so much." She sounded quite angry.

"What do you mean?" I asked while clenching my fists.

"Nearly every day, she'd always come into school and complain about an argument that they had the night before. I always hated seeing her upset but she was always able to put on a happy face in front of others. That's what I love about her. She always tries to be happy so others don't worry about her. She thinks about others first before herself. She has a kind heart and she's always been really patient too." She looked up towards the sky, in a daze but she was happy.

"You care about her a lot, don't you?" I asked.

"Yes. I do. She's my best friend and we're practically like sisters." She turned to me and smiled.

"I understand why you're so worried but it can't be helped. She has free will so we can't step in her way." I sighed.

"True but we can help her to walk the right path." She then stood up.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Look, I know there's nothing much I can do for her since she'll be leaving by the end of the day but I know you can. Just make sure she's alright when you get back. But there's one thing that you'll need to know." She then came closer to me and whispered into my ear. "She's not always the sweet and innocent girl that you think she is, you'll have to keep a close eye on her but just make sure she'll be alright." She then stood up straight and walked back over to her friends.

What does she mean? 'Not always sweet and innocent' huh...
