Chapter 37

Amber's p.o.v.

After leaving the school, I went to Urahara's shop to get my gigai. When I got there, all my friends had left except Esther.

"How come you're still here?" I asked her.

"I just wanted to make sure you were alright. That's all." She sighed.

"As you can see, I'm fine so you can go now." I went into the shop and found my gigai in the back. I picked it up and put it on. When I turned around, Lord Aizen was standing behind me.

"It's good to see you're alright, Amber." He smirked.

"Y-yes. I'm fine." I said.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"My family are expecting me." I sighed.

"Ah yes. Your family. Alright then. I'll get my gigai too and we'll leave. Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, are you coming along too?" I turned around to see Ulquiorra and Grimmjow standing behind me.

"I suppose so." Grimmjow sighed.

"When did you get back?" I asked Ulquiorra.

"Just now. Fabian is outside." He sighed.

"Hmm." I walked past them and then turned around to look at Lord Aizen. "I'll go home first and Ulquiorra can take you there when you're ready, Lord Aizen."

"Alright then." He smiled.

"See you later then." I then walked out of the shop and saw Fabian standing alone. "Do you want me to take you home?" I asked him.

"Yes please." He looked up at me and smiled a little bit.

"Get on my back then." I sighed.

"You can barely lift me though!" He muttered.

"You really haven't been paying attention, have you?" I smirked and walked over to a broken down car by the shop. I put my hand under the car and lifted it like it was a feather. "If I can lift a car, I can definitely lift you." I laughed.

"I-I guess you have a point." He sighed as I put the car down and walked over to him.

"Now then, get on my back and I'll take you home." I arched my back and he jumped onto me. "Try not to fall off." I said, sarcastically.

"Try not to drop me." He laughed.

"Wait!" I turned to see Esther running towards us.

"What's wrong? We're kind of in a hurry here." I sighed.

"Could I talk to you later, please?" She asked me.

"Great. Now I have more problems." I mumbled to myself so she couldn't hear me. "Yeah. I guess so. I'll come to yours later and we'll talk." I sighed.

"Thank you, Amber." She smiled at me as I jumped high into the air and flashed from building to building until we reached Fabian's house. I landed by the front gate and he got off my back.

"There you go then. I guess I'll see you another time." I sighed. Putting my hands in my pockets, I started to walk away from him but he grabbed me by my elbow.

"Don't leave yet." I turned to see him looking at me like he had something to say.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I just want you to stay here for a bit longer. That's all." He mumbled.

"But I need to get back to see Lord Aizen." I sighed as I turned my head away from him.
