Chapter 17

We finally got back to Los Noches and as soon as we stepped in the door, there was guards surrounding us.

"We're here to take Amber. Lord Aizen wishes to see her." The captain of the guards walked over to me and put me in chains. He then took me to the thrown room to see Lord Aizen.

"Amber..." He spoke in such a disappointed tone.

"Hello, Lord Aizen." I bowed.

"Why are you chained?" He asked me.

"The captain of the guards chained me up." I responded.

"Get those off her." He spoke to the guard standing by me.

"Uh, yes, my lord." He then unlocked my chains and took them off me.

"Come here, Amber." He stood up and held out his hand.

"Yes, my Lord." I walked over to him and took his hand. He pulled me towards him and hugged me. I was surprised.

"We were all so worried. What happened to you?" He then walked away from me and sat down on his throne. I told him everything that happened, even about Shunsui being my father. He lent his arm against the arm rest and rested his head against his hand through the entire story.

"And that's it, my lord." I said.

"Well then. I'm very surprised that the captains took you back to the soul society and that Shunsui is your father." He then sat up straight against his throne. "Now that I think about it, you do look awfully similar to him." He then stayed quiet for a few minutes before speaking again. "This could be good." He gave me a very evil smile.

"What do you mean, my lord?" I asked.

"It's nothing, my dear. I'm sure you've had a long and tiring day. Why don't you go lie down for a while? I'm sure you'll need your rest. You have training tomorrow." He spoke so calmly. I was getting worried.

"Of course." I bowed and walked away. I got to the door of the throne room and Ulquiorra and Grimmjow were waiting for me.

"So what happened?" Grimmjow asked me.

"Grimmjow." Ulquiorra snapped at him.

"What?! I know you're curious too." He snapped back.

"Yes but it has nothing to do with us so just leave it." Ulquiorra then turned from him and kept on walking.

"Fine." Grimmjow scoffed. They kept on walking as I stopped. "But just for your information, no one can help with being curious..." Grimmjow then turned back and looked at me. "Amber?" He started to walk towards me, as did Ulquiorra. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"The look in his eyes..." I spoke quietly in fear.

"What do you mean?" Ulquiorra asked me as he put his hand on my shoulder.

"The look in his eyes... I saw what he's planning..." I said.

"Who?" He asked.

"Lord Aizen..." I whispered.

"What is he going to do? Amber, tell me!" Ulquiorra started to shake me and as he did, I started to cry.

"He's going to hurt them... Everyone who I love and care about... He's going to capture them and hurt them just so the soul society won't attack him..." I fell to the floor in tears. "And there's nothing I can do about it... If I do then he'll just hurt them even more... And he'll probably kill me too... I'm not important to him... No one is... All he cares about is himself... He doesn't even care about his own zanpakto..." I then felt someone pick me up. It was Ulquiorra.

"Amber, please be quiet. We'll take you back to your room. Just go to sleep now." He then put his hand over my eyes and closed them. I fell asleep within seconds but I could still feel the tears flowing down my face.

Ulquiorra's p.o.v.

"What the hell was all that about?!" Grimmjow snarled at me.

"I have an idea but we need to make sure first." We kept on walking until we finally reached Amber's room. Grimmjow opened the door so I could walk in. I placed Amber on the bed and pulled the sheets over her. Grimmjow then closed the door, walked over to the couch and slumped onto it like a sack of potatoes. Typical...

"Are you going to tell me what's going on now or not?" He asked me.

"I think she can see into people." I said as I sat down beside him.

"See into people? What the hell are you on?"

"Yes. I believe that she can see the aura of a person along with their hearts desire." I said as I closed my eyes to think. "However, there are some things that put me off."

"Such as?" He asked.

"Such as the time she had that dream. She started to cry blood, that's not normal no matter what your power is. And the voice in her head. She said it was the soul of her zanpakto but I'm not too sure what it is. That's whats putting me off, but as I said, we need to make sure first, and before anyone else does too. We can't let Lord Aizen know about it." I said quietly.

"And how are we going to do that? Monitor her 24/7. Of course that won't ring any suspicious bells." He scoffed.

"No. We can watch over her during the night and we can talk to her during training." I said.

"Hmm. Not bad." Grimmjow laughed to himself. All of a sudden, Amber opened her eyes and her body went into a state of shock. I ran over to her and tried to calm her down. She looked like she couldn't breathe.

"Amber! Snap out of it!" I yelled while picking her up. "Grimmjow, run ahead of me and find someone to help!" I yelled at him.

"Right!" He then flash stepped out of the room and I followed him. After running through a few corridors, Amber eventually calmed down.

"U-Ulquiorra..." She tried to speak.

"Don't speak. You'll just make it worse." We finally got to the sick bay and I put her in one of the beds.

"What's wrong with me?" It took all her efforts to speak.

"We're not sure but there's a doctor coming to see you. Just hold on. We need you to stay awake until the doctor comes along, alright?" I tried to keep her awake by getting some water for her. I grabbed the cup and poured some water into it. "You're going to be alright." I said while filling up the cup. "Ok, Amber?" She wasn't responding so I turned around to see her looking up to the ceiling. "What's wrong?" I asked her but she still didn't respond. "Amber?" I walked over to her, put the cup on the desk next to her and grabbed her hand. She didn't even move. "Amber?" I was getting so worried so I felt her pulse but it was very weak. "Amber! Come on, stay with me! Don't die Amber!" I started to yell. I put my hand on my face and when I took it away, there was water running down my cheeks. "I'm crying..." I spoke to myself and then I felt someone's hand on my face. I looked down and it was Amber's hand.

"Stop crying. It doesn't suit you." She smiled at me which made me happy.

"You're alright." I said while grabbing her hand.

"For now." She smiled again to keep me reassured. Then the doctor and Grimmjow ran into the room.

"How's she doing?" Grimmjow asked me.

"Well, she's better than before. There was barely a pulse a minute ago." I said while wiping my eyes before Grimmjow could see me.

"What are you doing?" He asked as I sniffed.

"Hmm. Nothing. It's nothing." I said as I turned to him.

"Have you been crying?" He asked all excitedly.

"No..." I lied.

"Oh my God! Yes you have! So the big scary guy does have feelings." He laughed.

"God you're an idiot..." I snapped at him while grabbing Amber's hand again. She looked up at me and smiled. That's all I needed. Just her smile to keep me happy.
