Chapter 45

A few days had passed since I had been ranked the number 3 espada but nothing major had happened. Lord Aizen said we were going to have a meeting in a few days but that's all that had been said.

"Hey, Ulquiorra?" I mumbled.

"Yeah.." He said, weakly.

"I'm bored..." I wailed.

"Yeah.. You've said about five times now.." He groaned.

"Hey..." I looked up to see Grimmjow walking towards us.

"Hey Grimmjow." I sighed.

"The meeting is in five minuets and you're just sitting out here whining to each other." He growled.

"Yeah. So what?" I grumbled.

"Pfft." He scoffed. "What ever.. Lord Aizen wants to see you, Amber." He said before leaving.

"Okay!" I giggled in excitement as I stood up and ran towards the door. I flashed towards the throne room but when I got there, he wasn't there. "Huh? That's strange.." I said to myself.

"Hello Amber-chan." I turned to see Gin walking towards me.

"Hey Gin. Do you know where Lord Aizen is?" I asked him.

"Is he not in the throne room?" He asked, puzzled.

"No." I sighed.

"Huh. Well, he must be in his study." He smirked.

"He has a study?" I gasped.

"Yeah. You know where the infirmary is, right?" He asked me.

"Yeah.." I said, thinking back to the last time I was in there.

"Well, if you continue down that corridor there will be a red door at the end of the hall. Knock three times before you enter but if there's no response then he won't be there. You'll have to check his room after that." He smirked, again..

"Okay. Thanks Gin." I smiled a little before running off to find Lord Aizen.

"You're welcome, Amber-chan." He said as I started to run off. I then flashed towards the infirmary as I got to the end of the corridor.

"I hate it when he calls me that.." I groaned as I started to walk down the corridor. "Ah! There's the door." I said as I saw the red door that Gin told me about. I walked up to it and knocked three times.

"Who's there?" I heard a voice say.

"It's Amber. Can I come in?" I asked.

"Very well..." I heard the same voice say.

"Okay." I said as I opened the door. "Lord Aizen, are you there?" I asked as I tried to look around the darkness to see him.

"I'm over here." The voice said. I looked to the left to see a faded light shining in the corner. I walked over to it to see Lord Aizen sitting at a table with one single candle and many books around him.

"You wanted to see me.." I said, sheepishly.

"Yes. The meeting that we'll be having, it's about you." He said as he sipped a cup of tea.

"Me?!" I gasped.

"Yes. The other espada's don't know about you yet so I'm going to hold a meeting with them about it. When I tell them about you, you'll walk in with Gin and then I'm going to give you an assignment." He said as he stood up.

"I understand, Lord Aizen." I said.

"Good. Now then, let's go. I'm sure everyone will already be waiting." He said as he picked up the candle and we walked towards the door. We left his study and he placed the candle on a small table by the door.
