Chapter 24

When I woke up, it was morning. The sun shone through the window and went straight into my eyes. I flinched so I looked down so the sun wouldn't be in my eyes but to my surprise, when I looked down, Ulquiora was holding onto me and his head was resting on my chest. He looked so cute. I wrapped my arms around him and for once, I was truly happy. Then, there was a slight knock on the door.

"Who's there?" I asked quietly, trying no to wake Ulquiorra up.

"Ururu. Can I come in?" She asked back.

"Yes but be quiet please. Ulquiorra is still asleep." I said in the same tone as she slid the door open and walked inside.

"Mr Urahara told me to tell you that breakfast is ready so feel free to join us." She whispered.

"Thank you. Tell Urahara that we'll be along shortly." I smiled at her.

"Alright." She smiled back and walked out of the room and closed the door. I then looked down at Ulquiorra. He was sleeping so peacefully. I didn't want to wake him but I didn't want him to go hungry either so I decided to wake him. "Ulquiorra?" I said in my normal voice. "Ulquiorra, come on, it's time to wake up." I said as he started to move a little bit. His head moved and he sighed as he started to open his eyes.

"A-Amber..." He muttered while still waking up properly. I looked down and he moved his head away from my chest. He then looked shocked and he blushed too. "W-what's going on?!" He seemed confused as he looked away from my chest and up towards my face instead.

"Don't be alarmed. I've just woke up too and when I looked at you, you were hugging me and you were quite happily lying on my chest too." I smiled at him.

"Oh..." He then blushed more and I laughed at him. "What's so funny?" He asked.

"Oh nothing. It's just that you're blushing. That's all." I said while playing with his hair. "Come on then. It's time for breakfast." I said while sitting up and stretching.

"Who told you that?" He asked.

"Ururu came in before. She said that we can join them for breakfast. That's why I woke you up. Sorry about that." I stood up and walked over to get my jacket.

"It's fine. I'm just surprised that I actually went to sleep." He said as he stood up too.

"What do you mean?" I asked while putting on my jacket.

"I've already told you before. I don't sleep because I get too worried and I always end up waking up with my body sweating and shaking." He picked up his jacket and put it over his shoulder.

"Well, maybe you just need someone there to be with you while you sleep so you don't get to worried." I said while walking over to him. "Now lets go get some breakfast. I'm sure you're hungry. I know I am." I smiled.

"Actually, I am." He said as we both walked over to the door.

"Before we go meet the others, can I ask you something?"

"Sure." He stopped walking and looked at me.

"It's just that before, when we were in Hueco Mundo, I asked you if it was alright for you coming here with me. I then said that you don't really seem happy about all of this but you said it was something different. Can you tell me what it was now?" I asked.

"Oh. That..." He looked at me with such saddness in his eyes. "It's just that ever since you told me that Lord Aizen had proposed to you, it made me really mad since he knows that we have feelings for each other. He even said to me that he understood why I wasn't happy about it. I got so mad at him that I wanted to punch him. I don't want anyone else to take you away from me. Especially not him.." He then hugged me really tightly. "I know it sounds selfish but it's how I feel. I don't want anyone else to have you. I want you to be mine and mine only."

"Would it be even more selfish if I thought the same thing about you?" I muttered as I hugged him back.

"Really?!" He gasped and moved away so he could see my face.

"Yes.." I smiled at him.

"Then yes. It would be even more selfish." He said as he smiled at me. "But in a good way." He hugged me again before we left the room. "Come on then. Let's get some breakfast." He took my hand and smiled at me.

"Alright then." I smiled back and we went to get some breakfast. We got to the kitchen and every one was already sitting down. There was Urahara, Ururu, Jinta and two others but they were facing away from us.

"So there you are." Urahara said quite loudly.

"Sorry we're late. We slept in." I laughed.

"That's alright. Come and sit down. I want to introduce you to these two." We sat down at the table and looked at the two people. One I already knew and he was quite shocked to see me.

"Renji?!" I was shocked too.

"Why are you here?!" He asked.

"I could ask you the same thing!" I yelled in response.

"Oh good. You know each other." Urahara smiled. "Renji and his friend are here on business. They needed a place to stay so we've been letting them live here until their mission is over. You already know Renji, his friend there is Paige. She's also a soul reaper." I looked over to them. They were both wearing normal clothes so I assumed they were in gigais. I looked at Paige. She had long, dark hair and big blue eyes.

"Good to see you again, Renji. And it's nice to meet you Paige." I smiled at her.

"It's nice to meet you too." She smiled back. "Not to be rude or anything but, how come you already know Renji?" She asked.

"Amber and Ulquiorra are arrancars. I met them in Hueco Mundo." Renji stated.

"Oh..." She didn't look happy now. "Why are you here then?" She asked.

"We came to get some gigais from Urahara but we didn't have anywhere to stay over night so Urahara said we could stay here." I said. "Look, we're not here to do anything bad. It's just that Lord Aizen has allowed me to come back to the world of the living so I can see my family and friends again. That's all."

"That's good then." She smiled at me.

"We've all know each other now so who's ready for some breakfast?" Urahara laughed as the breakfast was handed out. I enjoyed being around people again and I was looking forward to seeing my family again too. Then I remembered something.

"Renji?" I said.

"Yeah?" He responded.

"Are you able to contact the soul society from here?" I asked.

"Yeah. Why?" He asked.

"Do you think you could contact my father please?" I asked.

"Your father?" Paige seemed confused.

"Oh. Her father is Captian Kyōraku. I forgot you were on a mission when she came to the soul society." Renji said while eating.

"I never get told anything!" She scoffed.

"But yeah. I could probably contact him. He's never left his room ever since he got back to the soul society." He spoke in such a serious tone.

"Thank you, Renji." I smiled at him.

I'm finally going to see him again and we can all be together as a family too. I'm so happy.
