Chapter 30

Amber's p.o.v.

After Lord Aizen, Ulquiorra and Grimmjow left, I stayed with all my friends. We left the main hall and went down stairs. It wasn't long after that the whistle went for everyone to go outside.

"Aren't you coming out with us?" Esther asked.

"I can't. I asked the teachers before and they told me to stay inside. I'll just wait in the dining room for now. When you all come back in, you'll be going to tutor so I'll go there afterwards." I smiled at her to keep her reassured, however I was lying to her. I didn't want to go outside. I wanted to wait inside in case Ulquiorra or Grimmjow came back to get me.

"Alright then. I guess I'll just see you at the pitty. Bye, Amber." She hugged me tightly before leaving.

"Yeah. See you then." I hugged her back and when we parted, she smiled at me and waved before running towards the others. I sat down on the bench and got my iPod out along with my head phones.

"You're looking lonely." I turned around to see Fabian behind me.

"Oh. Hey Fabian. You scared me a little there." I giggled a bit.

"Sorry." He smiled and sat across from me.

"Aren't you supposed to be in lessons now?" I asked him.

"No. It's my lunch now too." He responded.

"Oh yeah. I've been gone for so long that I've forgotten about it." I laughed, awkwardly.

"Yeah." He laughed along too. "I forgot to ask, who was that person?"

"Which one?" I asked.

"The one who walked in and started to talk to us." He responded.

"Oh. That's Lord Aizen. Why?" I asked.

"He's a Lord?!" He seemed quite shocked.

"Yeah. He used to be a captain but now he's our Lord and I really shouldn't be telling you these things so can we please change the convocation now?" I asked, awkwardly.

"One more thing. What did he mean when he said 'gigai'? What is that?" He asked.

"It's, erm, just a, thing..." I mumbled.

"Amber, come on. You know you can tell me anything." I looked at him and he just gave me his puppy dog eyes. Again...

"I really shouldn't tell you these things but promise that you won't say anything to anyone?" I asked him.

"You know I won't." He smiled and I started to explain things to him. I told him the truth, I started with what happened the day I disappeared and ended with me being back home.

"So, that's the truth." I sighed.

"You're kidding, right?" He asked.

"No. I'm not and I can prove it. Give me a second." I got out of my gigai which fell against the table, Fabian was shocked, he kept saying my name and shaking me. I then grabbed his shoulder and he turned around as I pulled his soul from his body.

"What the hell?!" He was really shocked as he watched his lifeless body fall against the table.

"I told you the truth and I've proved it. Are you happy now?" I asked him, sarcastically.

"So this is you now?" He asked, cautiously.

"Yeah and we better get back in our bodies before the teachers get worried." I then pushed him towards his body and as his hand fell through his chest, his soul was absorbed into his body. He sat up and looked around.

"Why can I still see you?" He asked as I got into my gigai.

"God I hate this." I said while sitting up and rolling my shoulders. "And you could see me because you left your body so now you're able to see a lot more that just me." I sighed.

"Oh. Like what? And what do you hate?" He kept on asking questions.

"I hate having to get into this thing. It's so tight. It's like putting on a really tight pair of jeans that feels like it's just sticking to you." I said while sorting myself out to get comfortable.

"That's one way to describe it." He laughed.

"Yeah. I know." I laughed. "Besides my kind, you'll also be able to see spirits, soul reapers and hollows. I suggest you don't bother them unless they talk to you."

"Okay then. So, is this what you were going to talk about tonight?" He asked.

"I'm not actually sure. Lord Aizen didn't tell me anything about it so I guess we'll just have to go along with it. Oh, can you not say anything about me telling you all of this please? I'm not sure how Lord Aizen or even Ulquiorra would react to it and I don't want them to be mad at me." I sighed.

"I won't." He smiled at me.

"Thank you." I smiled back.

"Amber." I turned to see Ulquiorra behind me.

"Ulquiorra!" I stood up and hugged him. "When did you get back?" I asked him.

"About half an hour ago." We then parted and I smiled at him.

"Oh. Ulquiorra, this is Fabian. Fabian, this is Ulquiorra." I introduced them to each other, really awkwardly.

"Nice to meet you, Ulquiorra." Fabian said as I sat down where I was sitting before.

"Same to you, Fabian." He then sat beside me.

"So, where's Grimmjow and Lord Aizen?" I asked Ulquiorra.

"Lord Aizen went to look around a bit and Grimmjow stayed back at Urahara's shop to annoy Renji. You know what he's like, he has to annoy someone and thank God it wasn't us." He laughed a bit.

"You have a point." I smiled.

"So, how did you two meet?" Ulquiorra asked me.

"What do you mean?" Fabian blurted out.

"Becoming friends." Ulquiorra said, blandly.

"Oh." Fabian sighed in relief.

"We met in primary school but after Fabian left and came here, we didn't really speak much until I was in year 9 and he was in year 10. We started talking and we became friends from there." I didn't want to tell him everything because I knew something bad would happen.

"How come you didn't talk so much between that period?" He asked me.

"Well, we were in different years and we didn't really speak much in primary school either." Fabian said.

"That sounds a bit boring." Ulquiorra said quietly.

"When it got to us talking again though, we became really good friends then one thing led to another and then we became friends again." Fabian didn't look happy about that.

"What do you mean?" Ulquiorra asked. Now I was worried so I decided to say something else.

"We had a couple of arguments so we didn't speak to each other for a while and we've recently became friends again." I smiled, awkwardly, hoping that he would believe me.

"Hmm." He sighed and crossed his arms.

"How did the meeting go?" I asked him to change the subject.

"It went quite well. Lord Aizen will tell you about it later." He looked up at me and he had no emotion running through his face.

"Alright then." I smiled at him and turned back to Fabian. "You could have went with Lord Aizen or stayed with Grimmjow so how come you came back?" I asked him while looking away.

"Because I wanted to see you." He grabbed my hand under the table. "Is it so wrong to want to see you?" He then tried to turn my head, with his other hand, to make me look at him but I didn't let him so I moved my head and stood up. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"I just need to go to the toilet. That's all." I walked away from the table and went to the toilet. Luckily, no one was in the toilets either. I walked over to the sink and looked down at it. "Why the hell did I have to see him here?..." I murmered to myself as I started to cry.
