Chapter 38

Ulquiorra's p.o.v.

After Amber and Fabian left, myself, Lord Aizen and Grimmjow had to look for our gigais. We all went our seperate ways to look for them and I headed back towards the room myself and Amber stayed in when we arrived. As I was walking down the corridor, one of the children was walking towards me.

"Hello again." She said, sheepishly.

"Hello. I'm sorry for acting so rude but what was your name again?" I asked her.

"It's Ururu. You're Ulquiorra, right?" She smiled at me, weakly.

"Yeah. That's right." I sighed. "Do you know where our gigias are?" I asked her.

"Your gigais?" She seemed confused.

"Yeah. Myself, Grimmjow and Lord Aizen had gigais before but we're not sure where they are now. Do you know where they've gone?" I repeated.

"Oh. They're in the last room." She turned around and pointed towards a door at the back of the corridor. "We put them in storage when you all left." She turned back and looked up at me.

"I see. Thank you, Ururu."

"Ururu!" I turned to see a boy running towards us. "What are you doing?" He asked her.

"I was- Ah!" She stopped talking when the boy grabbed her and started rubbing her head with his knuckles.

"What were you doing? Eh?!" He teased her.

"Jinta, stop! That hurts!" She wailed.

"Hehehe." He then looked up at me and stopped. "You're that girls friend, aren't you?" He asked.

"I'm assuming you're talking about Amber." I sighed.

"Yeah. What are you looking for?" He asked.

"My gigai. Now if you'll excuse me." I put my hands in my pockets and walked past them, towards the last door that Ururu pointed to before. I opened the door and there were the gigais. They were lying on the floor in a row. I pulled mine up and put it on. I had to move around a bit so I was more comfortable in it. I then stood up and Grimmjow walked in.

"So that's where they are." He sighed and grabbed his gigai.

"Yeah. Where's Lord Aizen?" I asked.

"He's out front." He said as he was fitting into his gigai.

"Alright." I walked out of the room and saw Lord Aizen sitting in the front of the shop. I started to walk out of the room when Ururu walked in front of me and towards him.

"Here's your tea." She sat by him and handed him a cup of tea.

"Thank you." He smiled at her and took a sip of the tea.

"Lord Aizen..." He turned to me and smiled. "We found the gigais. Would you like me to bring it in here for you?" I asked him.

"Yes." He sighed.

"It's alright." I turned to see Grimmjow walking towards us with Lord Aizen's gigai on his back. "I've got it." He then walked in front of me and layed the gigai on the floor.

"Thank you, Grimmjow." Lord Aizen said before drinking his tea again.

"Lord Aizen, can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead." He sighed.

"Why is it that you want to meet Amber's family so badly?" I asked.

"I know her father is a soul reaper but before he died, he was just a regular human. However, I don't know much about her mother so I just want to meet her and have her analysed. That's all." He sighed before drinking his tea.

"But for what purpose?" I asked.

"So I can understand how she gained her powers but not knowing about them until this point." He then put the cup down and got into his gigai.

"I see.." I sighed.

"Shall we go now?" I turned to him and he walked towards the door of the shop.

"Yes." I walked over to him and Grimmjow followed.

"Where does she live then?" Grimmjow asked.

"Follow me." I then flashed up into the air and started to go to her house.

Amber's p.o.v.

I started to walk home when I heard someone yelling my name, I turned and I saw Fabian running towards me.

"For crying out loud..." I mumbled to myself.

"Amber..." I stopped and when he finally got to me, he bent over and tried to get his breath back from running.

"What now?" I asked, sternly.

"When you left, something flew over my house. I then saw it coming in the direction you were walking so I came to tell you." He gasped.

"It was probably a hollow. I don't think it would be coming for me really so there's no need for you to tell me. I know where it is anyways so calm down." I put my hands in my pockets and then started to walk away from him.

"Wait!" Fabian yelled.

"Go home, Fabian." I sighed.

"Can I just do one thing before you go?" He asked.

"What is it?" I asked as I turned around but when I did, he cupped my face and kissed me.

"That..." He sighed and smiled at me. When he moved his hands, I slapped him.

"Why the hell did you do that for?!" I yelled at him as he put his hand over his cheek.

"B-because I still love you!" He yelled at me and I bowed my head.

"If you do still love me..." I murmured. "Then you'll be able to let me go..." I looked up at him with tears in my eyes.

"I'll never be able to do that, Amber..." He looked at me with sadness in his eyes.

"I really hate you for doing that..." I smirked. "I've been trying to forget everything so I can start my new life and today was the day that I could put it all behind me... But no... You just had to kiss me, didn't you?" I clenched my fists and my spiritual pressure rose again.

"A-Amber.. Calm down..." Fabian stuttered.

"Calm down..." I looked up and saw hollows swarming around us. "You're telling me to calm down after that..." I got out of my gigai, grabbed my zanpakto and unsheathed it. "Roar, Maliki." I growled and transformed into my resurreccion. After the light had disapeared, I jumped into the air and attacked all of the hollows around me. I slashed and kicked until all of them were gone. I went back to the ground and looked at Fabian. He looked terrified.

"W-what the..." He stuttered.

"This is my resurreccion. It shows my true self." I sighed. "Do you see now? I don't belong here anymore. I'm a monster, and the only place I can truly be myself now is Hueco Mundo." I got back into my gigai and stood up. "Goodbye, Fabian." I put my hands in my pockets and started to walk back home. By the time I got there, I could feel Ulquiorra, Grimmjow and Lord Aizen coming towards me. I decided to wait in the garden for them before going inside and it wasn't long before they turned up.

"Amber, are you alright?" Ulquiorra asked me.

"Not really." I said as I knocked on the door.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I'll tell you later." I said as the door opened and my mum was standing in front of us.

"You're back!" She said with a smile.

"Yeah. I've brought more of my friends this time." I sighed.

"Indeed you have. Come in, your sister is upstairs and your father will be here soon. They don't know that you're back so we'll have to surprise them." She smiled as we all entered my house.
