Fabian's P.O.V.
Flashback
We'd been talking online for ages. Well, I say talking... We had been arguing for ages. Recently, we'd been arguing a lot but it was different each day. Sometimes it would be about a specific person, other times it would be about something I've done or something she's done but now, I was getting sick of it. We were constantly arguing so I put an end to it. That night, we broke up. Little did I know she was being bullied in school. I mean, I knew she self harmed and stuff but a few days after our break up, I was looking on Facebook and saw loads of pictures of her in the school changing rooms. The girls who put them on were making really horrible comments about her so I decided to go and see her, to make sure she was alright. I also felt bad about the break up so I wanted to make things alright between us again. As I walked to her house, I heard sirens coming closer to me and when I looked up the road, I saw ambulances driving past and were headed to her house. I got worried so I ran, making sure nothing had happened but to my surprise, I saw her being carried out on a stretcher. I ran over but her mother caught me.
"W-what happened?.." I asked, shocked at seeing her so pale.
"S-she tried to kill herself.." She said, tears streaming down her face.
"What?!" I gasped, nearly crying myself.
"It was because of those girls on Facebook.." She managed to mumble.
"The ones who posted pictures of her?"
"Yeah..."
A few days had passed and I visited her in the hospital every day until she finally woke up. I walked into her room and her mother was crying into her arms. She then noticed I was there and her mother left.
"Hey." I said as I sat by her bed.
"Hi." She mumbled, not looking happy.
"Can I ask you something?" She nodded in response. "Why did you try to kill yourself?"
"I've been depressed from the break up and after the whole thing on Facebook, I just couldn't take it anymore." I looked up and saw her crying.
"The photos have been taken off Facebook, the girls are being punished for it at school and by your mother. She told me she's going to take them to court." I said to try to cheer her up a bit.
"That's good." She said as she wiped her eyes. I couldn't help but think this was partly my fault so I bowed my head before the tears started to overflow.
"Why are you crying?" She questioned.
"I-I was so worried about you.. After the break up, I knew you'd be upset but I didn't realize at first that you would have self harmed again and now, I can't help but think this was partly my fault." I said as I cried into the bed. "I-I'm so sorry, Amber.."
"Fabian, don't blame yourself for my actions." I felt her hand on my shoulder and when I looked up, she was staring straight at me. "I wasn't thinking straight when I did it. It was my fault, not yours."
"B-but I..." I didn't finish my sentence as she hugged me tightly.
"It's alright. I won't do it again." She said as I hugged her back, crying into her shoulder.
"Can you ever forgive me?..."
"Of course." She looked up at me and kissed my forehead. "But for now, I think it would be best to go our separate ways for now and stay friends. We can try again in the future after everything is sorted with the girls."
"Okay..."
End of flashback
It's been a week since Amber left and that memory is all I've thought about. If I didn't break up with her and actually tried to resolve it, she wouldn't have tried to kill herself and we would have stayed together. We wouldn't be in this mess if I didn't break up with her...
"Hey, Fabian!" My dad called to me from downstairs. I walked out of my room and headed towards the top of the stairs. "There's someone here to see you." I looked past him and saw Kisuke at the door, smiling up at me.
"Kisuke? Why are you here?" I questioned.
"I need to talk to you." He said as he walked into the house.
"Sure. Come on up." I walked back in my room and sat on my chair as he walked in. "What's up?"
"I know Amber left a week ago but I need to explain to you how this works." He said as he sat on my bed.
"How what works?" I questioned.
"Amber went to a place called Hueco Mundo which is a different space in reality where hollows live. You need to use a garganta to get there, which, again, is a different space in reality. Since there are different spaces in reality, that means they have a different time in each of them. For example, Amber left a week ago but for her, it'll only be a day in Hueco Mundo." He explained.
"Okay, I get it but why are you telling me this?"
"Because I have a device which monitors when a garganta has opened or closed and I came here to tell you that one has opened in Hueco Mundo, meaning someone is coming to the world of the living."
"Could it be Amber?!" I questioned, quite happy to hear the news.
"It could be but I'm not too sure. I know it will open here next week and where it will open too so I'm offering you a deal. Let me help you with those powers of yours and I'll take you to see who it is that comes out of the garganta next week." He smirked.
Oh, yeah, I didn't say anything about that either. Well, after Amber left, something happened to me. I started to feel different but I can't remember anything after that. All I do remember is Kisuke telling me I'm a 'fullbringer', what ever the hell that is... But right now, I was willing to do anything to see Amber so I accepted his offer and started to train with him. I went to his shop every night and we were training under ground but it looked like a desert, which confused me a lot, but I stuck to it. After the week was up, we went to see who came out of the garganta, and just like I hoped it would be, Amber appeared with two men.
