Nagisa's POV

"Clubs?" Arisa-chan asked.

"Yeah. Each student has to enter at least one club. So if you're interested in a club, you can join it."

She closed her eyes. "Hm... What club should I join? What club are you joining, Nagisa-chan?"

"Me? I don't know yet either."

"What about you, Yuki-chan?" She turned to Chiyuki-chan.

"I-I think I'm gonna join the Manga Club... I'm pretty into drawing manga, after all..." She said.

"Manga, huh? I'm no good in drawing... I guess I'll join tennis again." Arisa-chan said as she put her arms and head over her desk, sighing.

"You used to be in tennis?" I asked.

"Yep. Since middle school. The people are really nice!" She replied, smiling.

Chiyuki-chan smiled, "Th-that's great, Arisa-chan... I don't know if I'll get along with the people in the Manga Club..."

"What do you mean?"

"W-well... Other than you guys, I'm not very good at talking with other people, so I'm a bit worried." Chiyuki-chan said in response.

"Hm..."

I said, "Then, I'll join the club with you."

"Eh!? No way I can ask that much..." She said.

"It's okay! Plus, I've been interested in drawing and been wanting to learn how to draw manga." I said.

"Is it really okay?"

"Yeah. Now you have nothing to worry about, right?" I smiled.

She blushed, "Nagisa-chan..."

"Then, it's decided!" Arisa-chan stood up. "I'm gonna go apply for the Tennis Club."

"Yeah. I guess we'll apply for the Manga Club now." I looked at Chiyuki-chan.

We went out into the hallway. "Well, the field is that way, so I'll catch you guys later!" She started running.

"Tanaka! No running in the hallway!" Hazuki-sensei said to her she ran by him.

"Y-yes, sensei!"

Me and Chiyuki also left to the manga club.

"Um, Nagisa-chan..." Chiyuki-chan said.

"Yeah?" I looked at her.

"Uh... I feel like I should thank you." She said as she started poking her pointer fingers against each other.

"Before you and Arisa-chan, I've never had any friends before... People always see me as 'the girl who always reads manga by herself' at my old school. And they rarely talked to me, too." She started.

"But I also didn't really made an effort to talk to other people either... So I was really happy when you started talking to me!" She blushed and put her hands into fists.

"And that made me realize... Nothing's gonna change if I just stay quiet and don't do anything."

She looked at me, "So, I want to seriously thank you, Nagisa-chan!! I can be myself when I'm around you and Arisa-chan, and I finally found my first friends... So thank you!"

I was surprised for a moment.

I smiled, "No need to thank me. You're the one who really opened up to us."

She smiled.

We reached the Manga Club and applied for it. We were greeted by a girl.

"New recruits!?" A female voice said.
