Chapter 36: A Precious Franchise

Nagisa's POV

Fujisaki-sensei picked up her books from the table after the bell rang. "Alright class, that's all for today. Be careful on your way home!"

With that, Tanimura-san, the one in charge today, said out loud, "Rise."

Everyone stood up from their seats. "Bow."

"Be seated."

And that marks the end of today's school day.

Everyone started to pack up their books, including me. "Shiota-san!" Fujisaki-sensei suddenly called me.

"Yes?"

"Since Shiraishi-san is absent today, I would like you to deliver this to her." She handed me some papers. "You seem to be close with her!"

Chiyuki-chan is absent today. Fujisaki-sensei said she's sick at home.

"Alright." I accepted the papers.

"I have to tell Karma I'll be late..."

After sending a text to Karma, Arisa-chan approached me. "Hey, I'll come too! We've never been to Yuki-chan's house before, right?"

"Now that I think about it, you're right. Well, let's go then."

While walking, we passed by the baseball field and saw Sasahara-kun playing baseball with his friends.

Sasahara-kun noticed us from afar and waved at us high with a smile.

"Do your best!!" Arisa-chan shouted.

We started heading to the train station. Arisa-chan parked her bike before going in.

We saw Karma sitting on the usual bench. He noticed us and stood up with his usual smile, "Hey, Nagisa. You're going to Shiraishi-chan's house? I'll tag along!"

"Oh, you want to come?" I smiled at him. "Sure!"

"She gets off at the station before us, right?" He asked.

"Yeah."

Arisa-chan walked and scanned her card. "Let's goo!" She seemed excited about going to Chiyuki-chan's house.

I smiled at her before doing the same.

-Time skip-

"Chiyuki-chan's house is... There!" I looked at the address before walking towards her house.

Arisa-chan happily skipped ahead of us and waited in front of the gate for us. "Here, right?"

She pressed the doorbell.

A woman then came out from the front door. "Yes, who is it?"

"We're Chiyuki-chan's classmates, we're here to deliver some missed materials for her!" Arisa-chan replied.

"Oh, come right in!" The woman came out and opened the gate for us.

We went into her home after taking our shoes off. "Sorry for intruding..." I quietly walked in.

"Chiyuki!! You have friends over!" She shouted. She then looked at us with a smile. "I'm Chiyuki's mother. You must be her friends!"

"Yes." I smiled.

"She's in her room, please go right ahead!" Chiyuki-chan's mom lead us upstairs to Chiyuki-chan's room.

The three of us walked as Chiyuki-chan's mom talked again. "She's been in her room all day! I can't get her to eat at all."
