Karma waited outside the gate. He had overslept in class, so he decided to wait for Nagisa, since she had club activities today.

Despite it almost being almost summer, the red-head kept his black blazer on. It didn't bother him much. When it gets to July, then he'll leave it to catch dust in his closet.

He kept waiting, until a certain someone walked out. A blondie.

Yamaguchi was walking out with a book in hand. He looked liked he was completely absorbed in the world of knowledge.

In fact, he was so absorbed that he didn't notice one of the books he was holding with his other hand fell. The book looked pretty thin, even Karma didn't hear much of a noise.

At least he would've heard the paper rustling, right?

Wrong.

Karma approached the fallen book. It read, "Mathematics II".

"Should I take it and throw it in the woods? Maybe when it's raining..." Karma grinned mischievously as he grew horns and a tail.

"Hey," A voice said. "Give it." Yamaguchi was towering over the squatting Karma. He looked down at the red-head with an unamused face.

"Crud, he noticed," Karma sweat dropped as he looked up at him.

Yamaguchi took his book from Karma, knowing full well what he was thinking of doing with it. "I appreciate you picking it up," Yamaguchi said with sarcasm.

"Oh, no problem, buddy!" Karma sang.

Yamaguchi cringed when he heard Karma called him "buddy".

Karma looked at Yamaguchi. "Working hard, aren't we?"

The blonde spared him a glance before turning away, tucking his books under his arm.

"Well, go on home, Blondie. I'll walk Nagisa home," Karma stated.

Yamaguchi looked at him again. "You've been waiting all this time for Shiota-san? She'll get worried, you know."

"Heeh, you're more considerate than I thought." Karma grinned at him.

Yamaguchi kept looking at him, realizing he's still grinning. "Don't get the wrong idea," He said sternly. "I'm worried about Shiota-san, not you."

Karma looked at him with a half-crooked smile. "I wasn't implying on that..." He sweat dropped.

The manga Chiyuki made of them really got to Yamaguchi. It kept lingering in his mind, and he hoped that Karma didn't know about it.

The red-head got rid of his playful grin, and turned it into a confident one.

"Just give up, Yamaguchi. Nagisa won't fall for you." He looked at Yamaguchi with deadly eyes. "There's no place for you anymore."

The boy in front of him widened his eyes a bit. The nerve, he thought.

Just then, Nagisa walked out of school. She had just finished attending the Manga Club. Chiyuki wanted to work on her manga a little bit more, so she decided to stay behind.

It was almost time for exams once again. She walked as she held a book from a cram school nearby.

The two boys noticed Nagisa and started scurrying by her side.

"Hey, Nagisa!" Karma smiled.

"Ah, Karma, Yamaguchi-kun!" Nagisa blushed. She was put in quite the uncomfortable situation. "W-were you waiting, Karma?"
