Chapter 24: Midterms

...I had a dream about watching Yuusei Matsui's new movie where Nagisa was an actual girl. Karmagisa was canon there. I got really excited and happy and started fangirling.

...and then I woke up :')

Nagisa's POV

"O... Only 1 day left..." Arisa-chan looked at her math book.

"Yeah." I answered. "So we better use the time to study more."

"Make sure you understand everything!" Karma told us.

"Yeah, I'm going all out!" Sasahara-kun exclaimed.

Chiyuki-chan adjusted her glasses. "Me too!"

Arisa-chan put both of her hands on her cheeks, making a slight slap noise. "Alright! I'm not gonna play around at all today!!"

-Some time later-

"Hehehe... Look at this, Yuki-chan... It looks like a dango!" Arisa-chan was resting her head on the table, drawing on her notebook.

We all sweat dropped.

"You know..." Sasahara-kun looked at her. "I think I kinda get why her grades are low."

"Tell me about it..." I replied.

I stood up from my seat. "I'm going to get another book."

"Ah, can you get a Japanese Lit. book for me while you're at it?" Karma looked at me.

"Sure."

I walked to the bookshelves. I wanted to get a math book. But since I passed the Japanese books, I grabbed that first.

Then I went to the math section. I started searching for the right book. I found it, it was way on top. I tried reaching for it, but I couldn't grab it. I'm not too proud of my height.

I then saw another hand going towards the book I wanted to get. The book easily slid out.

"Is this what you want?"

I looked at the person who helped me. It was Yamaguchi-kun, holding the book I needed.

"Yeah," I smiled at him. "Thanks." He gave me the book. "So you study here too, Yamaguchi-kun?"

"Yeah." He answered.

"With your three friends, I'm guessing."

"Oh, those three idiots? Yeah, they're with me." He replied.

Yamaguchi-kun hangs out with three other boys.

Shougo-kun, a black haired boy with a noticeable fang. Igarashi-kun, who always seems to wear a hat. And Nanashima-kun, who has his bangs split into two.

"Hey, Yamaguchi!" A voice said from a distance. "What's taking so long?" It was Shougo-kun.

He looked at us. "Ah, it's that really popular girl! Shiota Nagisa-chan, right?"

Nanashima-kun also popped up. "Where, where?"

"Oh, you're right! I mean, we are in the same class." Igarashi-kun followed.

"Hm~ Is there something you're not telling us, Yamaguchi?" Shougo-kun teased.

"Shut up." Yamaguchi-kun replied coldly. He looked at me, "See you, Shiota-san." And started walking towards them.

I looked at them once again before walking back to my group.

I sat back down and gave Karma his book. I opened my math book and started reviewing once again.
