Nagisa's POVSummer quickly ends, and us students are back to our daily routines. The summer heat was soon replaced by a cold autumn breeze.
I've always liked seeing the green trees change color. The brown and red leaves always give me a nostalgic feeling, I don't really know why... But I guess I did make a lot of memories during autumn.
It was when I was writing on my notebook a small piece of rolled up paper was thrown on top of my desk. It didn't take long for me to see Arisa-chan looking at me intently.
"What could be so important?"
The teacher got sidetracked and is explaining about old mythology. It was a boring story anyway, I guess... So might as well. I put my pencil down and quietly grabbed the paper and opened it up.
"Don't you think Iyo-chan has been weird lately? I mean, she's always weird, but... I think it has something to do with Sasahara-kun. Wanna talk about it later?" It read.
I looked at the peach-haired girl, who was sticking her thumb up at me. I sweat dropped, "Couldn't this have waited later?" I thought. But then again, she was probably bored too from Edogawa-sensei's long lecture, so she decided to bring it up now.
But, I agree to what Arisa-chan said. Iyo-chan had been more fidgety lately. Especially when Sasahara-kun is around. Sometimes when we run into each other, she always greets us normally. But now that I think about it, it's a different story when Sasahara-kun is around...
Third Person View
In the end, to the cafe they go, thanks to Nagisa's craving for cake.
Taking a sip from her frappuccino, the bluenette listened to her friends. Karma was beside her, and he thought about stealing a bite from her cake.
"...So yeah, that's what I think," Arisa spoke, taking her iced latte into her hand.
Chiyuki looked down. "I agree too... It may not be any of our business, but I can't help but worry."
"Do you think... she likes Sasahara-kun?" Arisa touched her chin, looking up. "I mean, that's the only explanation I can think of."
She turned her attention back at the three. "But... Sasahara-kun and Iyo-chan? If I were ever a cupid, I would never think up of shooting those two together. It's like... two people from two different worlds!"
"That's quite the impression..." Chiyuki commented. "Love comes in all forms, as they say... I mean, look at Nagisa-chan and Akabane-kun. They seem like they're fire and ice, right?"
"I guess so... But I have to admit, Iyo-chan has been acting up."
Nagisa looked at the two girls across them. "Running away, hiding..." She noticed Karma's fork inching closer to her cake, but she defended it by shielding it with her own fork. "Avoiding her gaze, a blushing mess..."
Karma and Nagisa's forks kept coming into contact, clashing each other with a "clank" sound over and over. Nagisa didn't avert her eyes away from the girls. "Don't you think... that's a bit like how we used to be, Karma?" She finally gave her boyfriend a glance.
Karma looked at her fork shielding from his. He sighed and returned to his own cake. "Yeah, it does. Back when we didn't know any better, I guess."
"But if it really is a problem between the two of them, don't you think it's best if we stick our noses out of this one?" He toyed around with his fork on his plate. "Based on experience, having other people interfere could turn out pretty ugly."
