Chapter 28: Dinner Table

"Alright everyone," Fujisaki-sensei started. "As you all know, we will have a three day two night trip to Yakushima next week."

The class chattered in excitement.

"You can choose your groups for the rooms you will be staying. One room will be for 5 people." She explained.

"Keep in mind that other schools will be here."

Nagisa became excited at the thought.

-Time skip-

Karma and Nagisa were walking home from school. Nagisa had once again agreed to cook dinner for Karma, much to his delight.

"What do you want today?" Nagisa questioned as she took steps forward.

Karma looked up. "Hm... What about curry?" He smiled.

"Curry? But we just had that the other day. You sure you want curry again?"

"Ah, you're right. Hm..." He then pointed his finger upwards. "Oh, what about chicken katsu? I've never tried yours before."

"Katsu... I think I know how to make it." Nagisa smiled.

"Great!" Karma exclaimed. "Should we go buy ingredients? I have some money with me."

"Sure!"

"It's gonna be the last time I eat your cooking before I go."

"Go? Go where?"

"Ah. I'm going to Yakushima next week."

Nagisa's eyes widened. "Eeh!? I'm going to Yakushima next week, too!"

"Eh, really!?" He hugged Nagisa. "That's great, then!"

Nagisa thought about the sheer coincidence as they continued to walk.

"How lucky of us~"

They took a left when they usually walk straight. Now, they are heading to the supermarket.

"I'm excited to try your katsu, Nagisa~" The red head put his arms around Nagisa's neck from behind as they continued to walk.

Nagisa chuckled. "Well, don't be too excited. It's my first time making it!"

After a moment of walking, they reached the supermarket. The two walked in and grabbed a basket. "Welcome!"

Nagisa started walking around the aisles to search for the ingredients. "Onions... Ah, there they are."

As she was picking out the good ingredients, Karma called her. "Nagisa!"

Nagisa turned her head to her boyfriend. She saw Karma with his devilish grin along with his horns and tail holding two tubes.

Mustard and wasabi.

Nagisa sweat dropped. "Karma, no. Put those back."

"Aw..."

She now needed the most important ingredient, chicken. While walking to the meat aisle, she passed the snack section.

She saw a girl picking out her snacks. With her short pink hair and height that reached her shoulders, Nagisa could easily tell who she was.

Nagisa smiled and went up to the girl, putting her hand on her shoulder. "Sakura-chan!"

The pink haired girl jumped in surprise before facing the one who startled her. In an instant, her surprised face turned into a happy one. "Nagisa!"
