______________________Third Person View
Class 1-4 was dead quiet. The only thing that can be heard is the ticking of the clock, the time almost reaching 3 PM.
Iyo sat quietly in her seat, playing around with her pen as she rested her head on her desk. She had finished her exam already, and now she is waiting for the last bell to ring.
"I wonder if Karma-senpai is coming today..." she pondered in her head. The girl wondered how many times she thought of that.
She thought about her upperclassmen, and wether she should drop by.
Maybe they would invite her to a cafe. Maybe Nagisa would give her more advice with her kind heart. Maybe Chiyuki would tell her more about anime and manga. Maybe Arisa would energetically tell her exciting stories. Maybe Sasahara would...
...actually, she had no expectations from Sasahara. She never really understood why the boy had so much fun teasing her. In a way, he reminded her of Karma.
Except Sasahara is less cool.
Thinking about her thoughtful upperclassmen, she realized how much memories she had made already.
"The senpais really are nice... Iyo wants to be like them someday!"
One particular person appeared in her mind. A girl with baby blue hair.
She's a strange one, that Nagisa.
One moment she would be showing her innocent smile, and the next she could be giving off bloodlust that can make even the scariest looking man scream like a little girl.
In a way, Nagisa is terrifying. Yet, still somehow nice and lighthearted, however that's possible.
Even though Iyo is her self-proclaimed rival, Nagisa never fails to surprise the blonde girl. And although Nagisa may be her rival, Iyo doesn't particularly hate her.
She's just a bit upset that Nagisa got to Karma before she could.
-Time skip-
Iyo was now walking out the school, her MP3 player playing a catchy tune she likes. She put her hands in her blazer pockets.
Her friends had cleaning duty today, and her brother told her to go home.
The blonde looked at the sky, matching her footsteps to the beat of the song.
She walked a few more steps before noticing a cat on the road. It had black fur with yellow eyes, which were curiously looking at her.
"Hm?" Iyo stopped her tracks. She bent down and looked at the cat, taking off her headsets. "Hello, kitty. Did your older brother send you home too?" She held out a hand.
The cat inched closer and sniffed her hand. Seeing that she was no danger, it rubbed its head on her hand as it meowed.
Iyo chuckled, "Well, that makes both of us!"
The cat looked at her before walking away. Not knowing why, Iyo followed.
The cat would look back at her and fasten its pace. Iyo followed.
Soon enough, it stopped in front of a shop. A familiar aroma came out of it.
The cat walked away while Iyo was looking at the shop. Well, it was a restaurant.
Ramen.
It was the same ramen shop she ate at about a week ago.
Iyo turned left and right, as if checking there was no one around she knew. She walked closer to the shop and quietly slid the door open.
"Welcome!"
She sat on a chair, the same one she sat on the first time around. "Um, I'll have the special!"
"Sure thing!" the chef anwered.
If she were to be honest, Iyo was looking forward to the next time she ate here. The ramen was an unforgettable flavor.
"Ah, it's you."
Iyo looked over to her left and saw a black-haired boy. "Geh!"
"I guess the ramen grew on you, huh?" The boy smirked at her.
"S-Sasahara-senpai!" Iyo exclaimed. "W-well, Iyo was curious." She looked away, blushing.
"What bad luck Iyo has! Iyo would walk out, but Iyo already ordered and it would be rude to the chef!" She pouted.
"W-what about you, Senpai?" She looked over. "Why are you here?"
"'Why'?" Sasahara looked up. "Well, can't a guy eat? Besides, I'm a regular here." He slurped his ramen.
They sat quietly.
As Iyo was about to say something, a bowl of ramen was put in front of her. "Sorry for the wait!"
"Ah, thank you very much!"
She took her chopsticks and spoon. Picking up the noodles with a bit of the pork, she ate up. Suddenly she was somewhat glad she didn't up and leave at the sight of her upperclassman.
"Delicious!"
Sasahara looked at the girl beside him. "Didn't you say it would make you fat?"
Iyo flinched.
"Well, now you have no one else to blame for yourself if you gain a few pounds." He smirked.
"I-Iyo is fine with a few pounds. Iyo will eat vegetables when she is home." She reasoned.
She wondered why he even remembered she said that.
She looked at her bowl of ramen. Yellow noodles, broth full of umami, pork and egg.
"Maybe I should try making this for Karma-senpai!" She smiled.
Sasahara swallowed the noodles before peering at her. "I feel like every conversation we have is always gonna end up with Akabane."
"Hm? Is that so?" Iyo continued to eat her ramen.
The boy beside her rested his head on his hand. "Yeah. I mean, you always figure out a way to connect everything with Akabane."
"Really?" Iyo lit up. "Love does strange things!"
Sasahara looked at her.
"Hey," He started. "What do you think about Akabane, anyway?"
Iyo looked at her upperclassman. "About Karma-senpai? Hm... He's really cool! He's also really strong, and kind, and cool... Ah, Iyo said that already..." She smiled.
"Iyo likes seeing him smile. His voice is also really soothing! It makes him all the more dreamy!" She continued.
"Huh." Sasahara hummed.
"Still," He continued, his expression softening. "They get along well, don't they? Those two."
The blonde girl stayed quiet, looking at her bowl of ramen. "...Yes, they do, don't they?" She smiled bitterly.
Sasahara stood up from his stool. "Don't overdo it." He karate-chopped her head as he walked by her. "You're only gonna get hurt in the end."
The raven-haired boy slid open the door and walked out. The door gave a little tapping sound as it closed.
Iyo sat alone on her stool, looking down. She pouted before continuing to eat her unfinished ramen.
