Karma's POV

The teacher kept talking in front as everyone took notes.

"So, the right answer would be C, because the word 'but' can't be used to compare two things with one another." She continued explaining the lesson.

I sat lazily on my chair, thinking whether or not I should sleep or go out.

My mind continued to wonder as I put my hands in my pockets.

"Nagisa has a meeting today, so she'll be late... I guess I'll drop by Nagayama."

But if she's coming home from a student council meeting, that means that blonde dude will be there, too, huh?

Since I'm in another school, I'm definitely at a disadvantage, here.

"He'll definitely try to pull something off, that bastard..."

"Let's see here... Akabane-san," The teacher called me. "Since it seemed like you already understood the lesson, please try answering this question here."

I looked at the teacher with a lazy look.

"Which one of these is correct?" She started writing down a few sentences on the board.

"The rain fell down on it's head, making it drenched."

"The rain fell down on its head, making it drenched."

I gave the sentences a quick read before saying, "The second one."

"That's right!" The teacher smiled.

"You see, class, 'it's' with an apostrophe is a short of 'it is'. Whereas 'its' is a sign of ownership, like 'don't judge a book by its cover' or 'Put it back in its place'. If you say 'The rain fell down on it's head', then you're basically saying 'The rain fell down on it is head'."

I heard the class made a short "Ooh" sound at me answering it correctly.

"The same goes for 'your' and 'you're'..." As the teacher kept on talking while writing on the chalkboard, I payed my attention more to what's in my mind.

Which is, Nagisa.

-At Nagisa's School-

Nagisa's POV

I took the books I had on my table and neatly placed them in my bag. I took some notes as the meeting went on.

As I was cleaning up, I saw someone walking towards me in the corner of my eye.

"Hey, Shiota-san," Yamaguchi-kun said. "Can I see your notes for a sec?"

I looked at him and gave him my notebook. "Sure."

I was taken a bit by surprised, since this was the first time he asked me for my notebook. Nevertheless, I think it's because he's opened up just a little.

"Thanks," He returned my notebook. "So that means we'll be checking the storage room with the others."

"Yeah."

I placed my notebook in my bag and closed it up. As I put the bag on my shoulder, Yamaguchi-kun said, "Let me walk you home."

"Eh?" A sentence that Yamaguchi-kun never said to me. I was really taken by surprise this time. "Are you sure? I'll be fine by myself."

"It's fine," He continued. "Besides, it's late."

I tilted my head. "...Is that his way of saying he's worried about me?"
