Chapter 45: Flower-viewing

The spring breeze felt soothing against Nagisa's cheeks.

It wasn't hot, and it wasn't cold either. The sun let off warm light, making her want to bathe in it for hours.

This was the perfect weather for flower-viewing. And that's what Nagisa and her friends will be doing today.

It was Arisa who proposed this idea, which was supported by Nakano and Hitomi. Iyo then suggested a certain place where they can all go and have a picnic.

And of course, she pestered Nagisa to ask Karma to come too.

"Wow!" Arisa stepped onto the grass and looked around.

"It's so pretty!" Chiyuki added.

Iyo looked at them with her hands on her hips. "Of course! Iyo had this place specially picked out, after all!"

Hitomi grabbed the bag Sasahara was holding. "Let's set it up!" She and Nakano brought out the picnic blanket.

"You guys are too excited!" Sasahara pointed out.

"It's springtime~ Time for a picnic~ So fortunate of us~" Hitomi began singing her own little tune.

"And Reimu will have to do the dishes when we get back~ So fortunate of us~" Nakano continued her song jokingly, earning a complaint from the short girl.

Shougo and the others started helping out too. Karma was talking to Nagisa as she brought out a picnic basket.

"Karma-senpai!" Iyo called the red-head with a smile on her face. "Iyo has made sandwiches for everyone! Make sure you eat some later!"

Karma looked at Iyo. "Hm? Sure."

"Don't poison him!" Sasahara laughed.

"How rude!" Iyo angrily said. "Iyo can cook just fine! It won't poison anyone at all!"

They all sat down on the blanket, forming a circle. Nagisa sat beside Chiyuki and Karma.

"This feels nice..." Chiyuki smiled.

Arisa put her balled up hand into the air energetically. "Let's eat!"

"Thanks for the food!"

Everyone said in unison.

Iyo took a plate of sandwiches and turned to Karma. "Go ahead, senpai!"

Karma and Nagisa took a sandwich each and took a bite out of it. It had ham, lettuce, tomatoes, and a bit of mayo in it. "It's really good, Iyo-chan." Nagisa smiled.
