Chapter 40: Developing Feelings

Third Person View

A certain blondie was walking to school. He got a lot of stares from others, mostly girls.

Yamaguchi Akira.

The eldest child of the head of the Yamaguchi Company. His parents work as doctors, and they are well known throughout the country; thus having their own hospital.

"Kya, it's Yamaguchi-kun!"

"Good morning, Yamaguchi-kun!"

Two girls passed by, their squealing ringing in both of his ears. He turned to them with a smile, "Good morning."

"Kyaa~"

Playing as the "cool and nice guy" act, most girls fell for his trap.

Yamaguchi didn't think much of it. He came to realize, "All of these girls like me for my looks."

After adjusting the scarf on his neck a little, he continued walking.

However,

"Good morning, Yamaguchi-kun."

There was one girl in particular who didn't fall for his looks, and instead actually got to know him and his personality.

He took a quick glance at the girl before turning his eyes back forward. "Good morning, Shiota-san."

"It's starting to get a little chilly, huh?" The blue haired girl stated as white puffs came from her mouth.

"Yeah," The taller boy replied. "I'm just hoping for winter break to come already."

Nagisa chuckled. "Yeah, me too."

This one, particular girl, looked at Yamaguchi for his personality. Looks didn't matter in her case.

That was a rare case for him.

Lately, seeing Nagisa smile made him... steam up. He has never experienced this before.

He didn't know why his face would slightly redden at the sight of the blue-head. Usually the girl's face reddens when she sees him.

This wasn't the case, however.

Yamaguchi brushed off the thought and continued walking.

"Must be the weather or something."

-Time skip-

"Yamaguchi-kun," Nagisa approached Yamaguchi's desk, where he surprisingly wasn't with Shougo and the others. "About the meeting after school..."

She went on about their duties as the student councils.

"Oh, wait, you have cram school today, don't you?" She realized. "Sorry, I should've double checked with Hayabusa-senpai..."

"No, it's fine," The blondie replied.

Something that Yamaguchi noticed was Nagisa's talent in observing things. He had no clue when she had already memorized what days he has cram school.

"Oh, but, I guess meetings don't really interest a guy like you, huh?" She added.

"..." Yamaguchi looked blankly at the girl.

Another thing he noticed is her straightforwardness. When she wants to say something, she'll say it.

"Oh, sorry! That came out a bit rude." She immediately said.

But she'll always apologize right after.

"Honestly, what's up with this girl?"

Yamaguchi let out a small chuckle. "I wasn't wrong when I said you were interesting."
