Aria's POV

"What? You won't be coming back til tomorrow?!"

Halos mapanganga ako sa sinabi ni Asena. Bumisita kasi siya sa kumpanya ng isang business partner, masama kasi ang panahon, at mukhang nagsisimula ng umulan doon.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that."

"No, it's fine. I can go home by myself. But I'm worried about you. Kung sa hotel ka ulit matutulog, may dala ka bang extrang damit? May payong ka ba? Baka mabasa ka ng ulan at magkasakit ka. Yung cellphone mo full charge ba?"

I heard him chuckled on the other line.

"I'm fine, Mom.." he teased.

"Hey!" I pouted. "I'm just worried about you."

"I know, you don't have to worry. I have extra clothes, I don't have an umbrella but I'll buy one later if needed. I brought an extra battery for my phone, so don't worry okay?"

I smiled. "Good. Take care of yourself, Mr. Hubert."

"Same to you, Mrs. Hubert." he chuckled. "I'll call you later after work. Take care of yourself, don't forget to eat your dinner, alright? I love you.."

"Roger that captain!" I giggled. "I love you, too."

I ended the call and sigh. Kakasabi ko lang sa kanya nung nakaraang araw, pero mamimiss ko na naman siya.

I finished my work that day, I was getting ready to leave the office when someone knocked at the door.

Sino kaya yun? It's already 6pm and I am not expecting any visitor or guest at this hour.

"Yes, come in."

The door opened. I almost open my eyes wide when I saw the person standing outside.

"Mr. Blanche.."

He smiled when I called him.

Nandito siya sa kumpanya dahil gusto niyang makausap ang production manager. Tungkol kasi yun sa project na gagawin nila, alam ni Asena na pupunta ngayon si Mr. Blanche dito, gusto man niyang sumama sa meeting nila, hindi naman pwede dahil mas importante ang pinuntahan niya ngayon.

"Pauwi ka na ba?" tanong niya.

I hesitantly nodded. His smile deepen.

"Hmm, kung ganun ay ihahatid na kita.."

"What?"

It took my all to stop myself from raising a brow. Calm down, Aria. He's a business partner, you should be extra kind to him.

"Ihahatid na kita. Wala ang boss mo di ba? And I figured, wala kang kasabay pauwi. Masama pa man din ang panahon."

I looked at the window when he said that. Rain starts to pour heavily outside.

As if I had a choice. Hindi ko rin naman alam kung paano siya tatanggihan, he might find it rude if I declined, at baka iatras niya ang kontrata. At pag nagkataon, baka magalit sa akin si Asena kapag nangyari yun.

"Okay.."

Ni-lock ko ang office pagkalabas namin. Pagdating sa labas ay nandun na ang kotse niya at nakaparada. He opened the passenger seat for me, and I sit down reluctantly.

Itinuturo ko sa kanya ang daan papunta sa condo ni Asena habang nagdadrive siya. I never let my guard down, even just for a second.

"Is it here?"

"Yeah.."

I secretly sighed in relief when we arrived at the front of the building.

"Thank you, Mr. Blanche. Papasok na po ako.."
