"Remember what I told you Haseya" said Riley.

"Yes, I know. Try and keep my attitude under control, and don't let anyone piss me off, no matter what they say. I can't completely keep that promise. You know I love you but, you know how I am. I get pissed at things real easily right now."

"I know," she says. "That is why I shall be by your side to keep you calmed down and under control." She gives me a small wink, and we head to the office.

When we get to the office and get my schedule, I look down and see that I have Science.

"We have a lot of the same classes, but in this class, please try and keep your cool."

"Why?" I draw out the y.

"Umm, you'll see when we get in there."

So, while we're headed down the hall to the classroom I look to my right and of course, like my cousin had warned me before, there was a guy making out with some blonde bimbo looking girl. Do they have to do that in the hallway? Just, yuck!

When we walk into the classroom, I get a lot of stares. It's especially creepy, when everyone just goes quiet. No one says a word, they just stare. I give my cousin this look, and she shakes her head no, silently saying 'don't do it.' Yet, I just can't help myself.

"What the hell is everyone staring at?" Well, that just got more stares, and a few gasps from some people.

When the teacher, Mrs. Stone, walks in and sits down at her desk, she looks my way and says, "Now class, it looks like, today we have a new student. Would you come up here and please introduce yourself?"

I stand up, and make my way to the front of the class.

"The name's Haseya, I'm 17, a senior, and obviously have an attitude, so try not to piss me off. I come from a small Navajo tribe in Arizona, but due to certain circumstances, I am here. That's all your getting from me." I said, with a smirk I walk back to my seat.

"Excuse me," I heard a girl say, looks like the same blonde bimbo from the hallway. "I have a question for the new Indian girl."

I look at her. "First off, I have a name! And second, I am not some Indian girl, you blonde bimbo looking bitch. Excuse my language, Mrs. Stone but I don't take lightly to disrespect and insults. Thank you very much."

"That's okay. Anyway, Amber, what is your question?"

"Before I was rudely interrupted, Haseya," she says smirking, "Does that mean in your free time you do those weird ritual things, and smoke that stuff that makes you see things, and make you think that you're something special?"

I was raging mad. "Amber," I say so sweetly, "They are not weird ritual things. What is it of your business, what I do and don't do in my free time? And oh, by the way, learn the name of the stuff we smoke, it's called Peyote."

With that said, I sit back down, and get this look from my cousin that says, 'what the hell was that?' I just give her a small shrug, "Sorry, but I warned you."

After all that was over, the teacher just gave us a look, and was about to say something when we hear a door slam. I look over to see a very good, and I mean VERY good looking boy. All the girls look at him with those googly eyes, even my cousin.

"Mr. Sanders, so nice of you to join us. Just take that empty seat next to Haseya." I look up, he catches my eye and just smirks. Oh, great this will be interesting.

"So, cutie, you must be new around here, huh?" he inquiries with a grin.

Well that grin was kind of cute. Wait! What the hell am I thinking? It shouldn't be cute, snap out of it woman!

"If I am, what business is it of yours anyway?" I look over and snap. That got a warning look from my cousin. I wonder what that's about? I'll have to ask her later. Out of the corner of my eye, I see him starting to lean over and whisper into my ear,

"Well the name's Jace, and from what I can see, your pretty feisty. I like that."

"You can like whatever you want, but chivalry will get you nowhere." I just smile.

"You just wait, love. You just wait." He winks.

My god! I'm so glad my skin is darker because, if I was any lighter, you could see the blush on my face. I look over and see my cousin giggling. Are you kidding me!? What great family I have. When the bell rings, we walk out of the classroom. We're walking down the hall, and I hear a small wolf whistle, I look back, and there is Jace, just looking at me. I hurry and turn around back to my cousin. We stop and my locker and she gives me a serious look.

"Haseya, he may be gorgeous, but he is trouble."

"Who?" I inquiry, already knowing who she is talking about. She just looks at me.

"Well let's head to English, and this talk is not over with sweetie. Trust me it's not." With that we start walking down the hall.

"Haseya, I'm going to head on to my seat. There is an empty one over there. Just go ahead and sit down and I will see you after class."

I walk over to the empty seat, and I sit down next to this pretty black girl with the beautiful brownish green eyes. I will admit, I am a little nervous, seeing as this is my first day and I'm sort of by myself with this one.

"Hey, I'm Ashlyn."

The girl says while holding out her hand. I turn around and shake it. "I'm Haseya."

"OMG! I just love that name! You are absolutely gorgeous!"

"Thank you." I say kind of shyly. "No problem, baby girl. So, I'm guessing you're the new girl EVERYONE is talking about."

"Well, what makes you think that?" I say, with a little bit of an attitude. I mean, really, isn't it obvious? She looks at me with a dumbfounded expression on her face. Finally, she opens her mouth to speak, and I would have never guessed what she said next.

"Girl, you've got yourself an attitude," I was about to say something when she put up her hand and stopped me. "Wait a minute. I was going to say you have an attitude, and I love it!"

"Oh, well thank you, my cousin told me I have to try and keep it in check, but after what I been through, it's hard."

"Hey, it's none of my business, but, and if you ever do feel like talking, I am right here and you, are coming with me."

"What?"

"I said you're coming with me, because we have the same gym. And at lunch you will meet my friend James. By the way, you may not know much about us right now, but you will learn to love us!" Evidently, I just made my first friend, and damn is she feisty.

After class, I told Ashlyn to hold up for a minute.

"I see you made a new friend." Riley says, laughing.

"I guess so. She just told me I'm coming with her, so I will catch up with your later."

"Bye, see you at lunch!" she yells walking out of the room.

"Alright Haseya, off to gym. By the way, I heard about what happened with that Amber girl in your Science class." Ashlyn says, while pulling me away.

"You have?!"

"Yea, it's been going all around the school." She looks at me with a sad smile. "A forewarning, Amber is in our gym class. So, let's see how civil you can be with her." She starts walking to the gym, laughing and winking at me.

"Just great." I mumble under my breath, but evidently Ashlyn hear me because she snickers a little. Let's see how this goes.

Hey Peaches!

This is a pretty long chapter in my opinion.

So I would love it if you guys left some feedback for me on what you think about Haseya!

Lots of love,
