Chapter 21

Jace P.O.V

I wake up, feeling the happiest I have in a long time. "Jace, wait for me!" I hear Lily, running up to me. "Hey, baby girl. What's going on?" I ask her. "You have school today, don't you?" she asks me. I look at her, giving her a big hug. "I do baby girl, but Jodi will be here," I tell her. "I'll try and be home as soon as I can, after school. I love you sweetie." I tell her. I decide to text Haseya, and let her know I'm coming to get her.

Jace: I'm picking you up for school, see you soon!

Haseya: Ok, I will be waiting.

With that, I pick up my stuff and head out. As I pull into her drive, I see her coming out. "Hey, babe!" I call out to her. As she gets closer, I give her a quick kiss. "Ready?" I ask her. "Not really, but we kind of have too." She tells me. As soon as we get to school, I intertwine her hand with mine. I walk her to her locker, where I see Ashlyn waiting for her. I see the smile on her face, knowing she wants all the gossip. "I'll let you girls catch up, I'll see you in Science." I give her a quick kiss and walk over to my friends. "Dude, you have it bad." Andrew tells me, while I walk up to him. "I have no idea what you're talking about." I say, while they all start laughing. "Let's just get to class guys."

Finally, lunch rolls around. We decided to sit with my girl and her friends. I go and sit next to Haseya with James on my other side., Across from us sits Ashlyn, then Andrew on her left, and Ryder, Sam, and Carlos on her other. I give her a small kiss on the cheek. "Hey, love" I say to her. "Hey, lover boy." She says. "How's your day going by so far?" I ask her. "Eh, same ole same ole." She leans onto me. Ryder pipes up. "Yo, Jace, here comes trouble." As we look back, we see Amber and her friends, walking our way, scowls on their faces. "Hey, Jace." She tries to sit on my lap. "Bitch, excuse me. What are you trying to do?" I hear Haseya say. Damn! This girl never ceases to amaze me. "What did you just call me? And I'm trying to sit with my man. So, move out the way." What the hell, I am not her man. I never will be. I try to shove her off my lap. "Well, I called you a bitch. And you best get off MY MAN'S lap." Oh, I'm her man now. I can honestly say, I do love this girl. I won't admit it to her yet. I just need to talk to someone about it. I'm PRETTY sure I love her. "Your man? How could he want someone like you? Some bitch that hasn't been here before? Or even a regular high school for that?" I can see Haseya getting furious. I'm about to interject, but then I hear Ashlyn. "Oh, no you didn't! You did not just go there!" she yells, starting to stand up. I look over at Andrew, trying to calm her down. Next I hear Haseya say. "Ashlyn, I got this. Now look here, Jace is my man now. I don't care what you think, in that pea sized brain of yours, he will not be yours. You're just a skank that thinks she can have whoever she wants. Well, for me that ends now. So, I suggest you just walk away, before I hit you again. I don't give a fuck if I get detention. I will not sit here and be walked all over. I'm not just some girl, I'm not scared of you either. So, go ahead, try me." She yells at her. My heart just swells with so much pride at my beautiful girlfriend. Her willingness to stand up for US, and her courageousness! Oh, her courageousness. You have no idea what it does to me, to see her take no prisoners. "Well, uh, you will pay for this freak." With that she walks away. "Hey Amber, I have a little song for you. Want to hear it? If you don't, I'm going to sing it anyway. Twinkle twinkle little whore, get on your knees and suck some more, twinkle twinkle little slut, you like dick, up the butt!" She pales, not knowing what to say. I have to cover my face, because I am about to bust up laughing. "I have more where that came from by the way." She yells at her. As she walks away I hear the whole cafeteria laughing. "Girl, where did you come up with that song?" Ashlyn asks, laughing so hard tears are coming out of her eyes. "I can't remember, I think I saw it online somewhere." She tells her. After everything starts to calm down were all sitting there, chit chatting. As I'm starting to space out, I hear Haseya, and feel her poke me. "Hey look." "Wouldn't they look cute together." She starts giggling. They look up at her. "Everything ok?" they ask. "Perfectly fine." She tells them. Then the bell rings. "Well we better head off. I'll see you after school, love," I tell her, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

The rest of the day goes by swiftly. I'm at my bike waiting for Haseya, talking to Andrew. "So, Ashlyn seems like a pretty nice girl. I saw the way you were talking at lunch." I tell him. "I don't know dude. You know me." He looks at me. "Hey, you never know." I tell him. "Hey, there's a party on Saturday, bring Haseya." He tells me. We see Haseya coming towards us. "Remember, party on Saturday! Bring your girl." With that we bro hug and he walks away.

"Hey love, you ready?" I hand her a helmet. "Let's get outta here." She tells me. As we reach her house, she asks me if I want to come in. "Let me call the babysitter, and see if she can stay for a little bit longer." I call Jodi to make sure she is ok for staying with Lily for a little bit longer. "We're all set." I tell her. Grabbing her hand, we walk inside her house. "Auntie! I'm home! I have a guest, too!" She yells. I see her aunt walking down the hallway. The biggest grin on her face. "You must be Jace!"
