Chapter 20

I woke up in the morning, remembering everything from yesterday. From meeting with Jace, him asking me to be his girlfriend, telling my aunt, uncle, and Riley, celebrating, have a flashback, and the vision. The vision, it still boggles me though. No time to worry about that right now. I need to get ready for school.

Jace: I'm picking you up for school, see you soon!

Haseya: Ok, I will be waiting.

Since I feel like the happiest girl in the world, I decide to dress up. I decide to pick out my nicest pair of dark denim shorts, and pretty red off the shoulder crop top. I take my shower, and put on my clothes. Seeing as I still have time, I blow dry my hair, straighten it, and do a light but good looking smokey eye. I go downstairs to everyone sitting down and eating breakfast. "Hey everyone! How is your morning?" I'm really cheerful. I wonder why. "Good." I hear from them all. I grab an apple and granola bar, and as I'm eating, I hear the sound of a bike. Jace is here. "Well, Jace is here! I will see you all tonight! Love you all. See you at school Riley." With that, I run out the door. "Hey babe!" he yells to me, while I'm walking to him. I go up to him, and he gives me a kiss. "Ready?" he asks me. "Not really, but we kind of have to." I chuckle. With that he hands me a helmet, puts on his, and we head to school.

When we get to school, we walk together. He intertwines my hand with his. I get butterflies all through my tummy. It's so weird, I mean come on, I have Jace Sanders as a boyfriend, every girl would love to be in my position, yet I got him. Oh my god, the stares I'm getting. Jace looks at me. I just give him a smile as he walks me to my locker. I get there, and Ashlyn is already waiting for me. She looks down to see our hands, and oh my, the look on her face. She was like a little kid on Christmas day with that damn smile. Jace notices this. "I'll let you girls catch up, I'll see you in science." He gives me a quick kiss and walks off to his friends.

"Girl, what is going on!?" she asks me. "Well, like you heard, which from my cousin, I'm assuming, Jace asked me to be his girlfriend last night!" I tell her all excited. "Omg, I'm so happy for you." She gives me a big hug. "Well talk about this more at lunch! I'll see you in English. You're giving me all the gossip at lunch, though." She heads off. After my few classes, I go to my usual lunch table and sit down. James is sitting down with Ashlyn. "Jace Sanders, huh?" I hear James ask. "Yea." I blush. "Well, I'm happy for you girl. Just be careful, please?" he gives me a big smile. "You're like a sister to me now, and I don't want you hurt." He gives me a hug. I almost start tearing up, thinking of my family back home, how I no longer have my brother or anything. Shut up Haseya, get your mind off that. "You're like a brother to me too, James." I hug him back. Loving that I have my friends, that are starting to become my family. I hear some chairs and see that Jace and his friends decided to come sit with us. Jace sitting next me on one side, and James on the other. Across from us sits Ashlyn, then Andrew on her left, and Ryder, Sam, and Carlos on her other. Jace gives me a small kiss on the cheek. "Hey, love" he says to me. "Hey, lover boy." I start laughing. "How's your day going by so far?" he asks me. "Eh, same ole same ole." I lean onto him. Ryder pipes up. "Yo, Jace, here comes trouble." As we look back, we see Amber and her little minions, walking our way, scowls on their faces. "Hey Jace." She looks at me and goes to sit on his lap. As she starts to sit down, I speak up. "Bitch, excuse me. What are you trying to do?" "What did you just call me? And I'm trying to sit with my man. So, move out the way." She tries to shove me, while Jace is trying to get her off his lap. "Well, I called you a bitch. And you best get off MY MAN'S lap." I stand up facing her. "Your man? How could he want someone like you? Some bitch that hasn't been here before? Or even a regular high school for that?" I start to get furious. Then I hear Ashlyn. "Oh, no you didn't! You did not just go there!" she yells starting to stand up. I look over at Andrew, trying to calm her down. "Ashlyn, I got this. Now look here, Jace is my man now. I don't care what you think, in that pea sized brain of yours, he will not be yours. You're just a skank that thinks she can have whoever she wants. Well, for me that ends now. So, I suggest you just walk away, before I hit you again. I don't give a fuck if I get detention. I will not sit here and be walked all over. I'm not just some girl, I'm not scared of you either. So, go ahead, try me." I yell at her. "Well, uh, you will pay for this freak." With that she walks away. "Hey Amber, I have a little song for you. Want to hear it? If you don't, I'm going to sing it anyway. Twinkle twinkle little whore, get on your knees and suck some more, twinkle twinkle little slut, you like dick, up the butt!" She pales, not knowing what to say. "I have more where that came from by the way." I tell her. As she walks away I hear the whole cafeteria laughing. "Girl, where did you come up with that song?" Ashlyn asks, laughing so hard tears are coming out of her eyes. "I can't remember, I think I saw it online somewhere." I tell her. After everything starts to calm down were all sitting there, chit chatting. I look up to see Andrew talking to Ashlyn, I don't know what he said, but I can tell it made her blush a little bit. I look over at Jace. "Hey, look." I whisper as I poke him in the side and point to Andrew and Ashlyn. "Wouldn't they look cute together." I start giggling. They look up at me. "Everything ok?" they ask. "Perfectly fine." I tell them. Then the bell rings. "Well we better head off. I'll see you after school, love." Jace says to me and gives me a quick kiss on the cheek. We all go our separate ways. The rest of the day goes by fine. After school I see Ashlyn at her locker. "So, what was that at lunch?" I ask her. "What do you mean?" she looks at me, knowing exactly what I'm talking about. "You and Andrew. I know you just met him. I could see the look on your face though." I tell her. "From what I've heard from Jace, he's a nice guy. If you so choose, give him a chance." I tell her, and give her a hug. "Jace is waiting for me. I'll text you later. Love you!" "Love you too girl!"

As I walk up to Jace, I see him talking to Andrew. As soon as they see me, they do that bro hug thing. "Remember, party on Saturday! Bring your girl." He laughs and walks away, waving to me with a smile. "Hey love, you ready?" he hands me a helmet. "Let's get outta here." I tell him. As we reach my house, I ask him if he wants to come in. "Let me call the babysitter, and see if she can stay for a little bit longer." I wait for him to get off the phone. "We're all set." He tells me. Grabbing my hand, we walk inside my house. "Auntie! I'm home! I have a guest, too!" I yell. I see my aunt walking down the hallway. The biggest grin on her face. "You must be Jace!"
