Yiska-Haseya's Father P.O.V.

*Flashback*

"Father, I can't stay here any longer. Mom is gone, and you have completely changed."

"You fully know the consequences of leaving, and you're going to do it anyway? You have your whole life here, and you are going to throw it all away for a feeling you have?" he yelled. "That's crazy talk. You are the daughter of a Navajo chief, and I will not allow this! You will be a disgrace to this family, and I will look a fool because of you and the fact that I couldn't keep you in line.!" he barked.

"Is that all you care about? Your reputation and how it will make you look? What is supposed to come first is being a father to your child. I know you're a chief, but your also my father and should support me. Yet, the fact that you don't, doesn't change my decision!" I cried.

"Well," my father states, "You better hope that you never show your face around here. Though you're my daughter and I love you, but-"

"Stop right there! If you truly loved me, you would support me. So, don't give me that, 'you're my daughter, I love you, but I will still give you the consequences.' That is not a true father."

"I do love you, though! That's just how it goes, and I have to follow the ways of my people and I can't change that, Yahana," he said.

"I just wish you would see it from my view. I know mom would have." I said.

*End of Flashback*

I can't believe it. She just left, and betrayed me, my own flesh and blood. How could she do that? That is unforgivable! I wish I could forgive what she did. I can't though. I must follow the ways of my tribe. The only way she would be forgiven is by coming back and marrying her betrothed. No other way is possible. I do miss her. After Tsintah died, I have no link to my wife. I have my two sons Tsela and Gaggii, but I have no daughters that remind me of my deceased wife.

"Father" my eldest son says to me. "Are you ok? You've been staring off for a while now."

I look at my son "I am fine. I'm just missing your sister."

"She is no longer my sister! After she left, I wanted nothing to do with her. She went off to be with the white men and women. She has no right to even be mentioned around here."

"That is your flesh and blood you are talking about, son. You can't just forget her like that. You two were so close! Now you just want to forget that she even existed?"

"Yes Father, I do. I will never accept her back!" he yells and walks away.

With that he walked away. My eldest son. I hope he changes his mind. I'm getting Yahana back, and I know just the way to do it. I need him for my next step though. She and Bidziil will be together. I will make sure of that. I don't need anything coming in my way. From what I've heard, she is with her aunt in California. I need my sources to find out a few more things for me. This isn't going to be easy. I knew it wouldn't. I can't let her do this to me. This would ruin my credibility to my tribe. I couldn't live with the fact that because of my daughter, my reputation could be gone. I am chief of this tribe! What I say goes. Even if that means I have to do some drastic measures. I will do it. Nothing and no one is going to get in my way. I promise you that.

"Tsela! Come here!" I yell.

"Yes, father?" he says. "I need you to do something for me." I say.

"What is it?" He asks.

"I need you to go get Bidziil, and come back to me. I will explain what to do from there." I tell him.

"Yes father, I will be back." He walks away.

I do hope all this goes according to plan.
