She Rises

Chapter 38

Jace P.O.V.

As soon as I open the door, I hear all these beeping noises. I just hate the sound of those. Next, I look to the bed, and see what I thought I never would. There lies Haseya, pale and bruised up. My breath catches for a moment, out of shock. I go straight to the chair next to her bed. I grab her hand, it's warm and soft.

"Love, I hope you can hear me. I'm so sorry about what happened. I blame myself for it all! If I only I told anyone about your behavior, maybe they could have helped you. Then maybe, just maybe, you wouldn't be here right now. We would have just left the party and did your own thing."

"You've been out for a while now, I just hope you wake up soon. I don't know what I would do without you. I've never met anyone like you, and I've never loved anyone, or been in love with anyone, except you. I don't want anyone but you, and I can't see myself with anyone else." Please, please, wake up soon. I start crying.

I don't want anything to happen to her. I don't know what I would do if something did happen. I don't want to lose her. I can honestly say, I can't see my life without her. We haven't been together long, but sometimes, you just know.

I don't know how long I stay in there, but I'm not leaving. I can't leave her side. I feel like I would be abandoning her in her time of need.

Next thing I know, I hear someone coming in. Not realizing that I feel asleep.

"Jace, honey. You need to go get some sleep and something to eat." Her aunt comes in a tells me.

"You've been in here for about 6 hours now. I'm not trying to rush you out or anything, but you need your rest also." She tells me.

"I really don't want to leave her though. I don't want to leave her in her time of need. I want to be there anyway I can." I look up at her. I can tell she has been crying some more.

"She would want you to get some rest. Please, just a few hours and something to eat at the least." She sits down and takes my hand.

"Ok, just a few hours and I will be right back." I tell her, and walk out of the room and look back. I pray she will wake up soon.

1 week later.

Jace P.O.V.

She still hasn't woke up. It's been a week and she is still out. I know, I should probably be at school, but I just can't leave her. Andrew and Ashlyn have come in a few times. Brought me my homework that I need to do. I'm thankful for them also. I talked to Jodi and she is taking Lily to her house while I'm here. I can't be more thankful to her. She tells me it's no problem, that she loves Lily. As I'm sitting here, I can't help but keep praying. I don't let go of her hand.

"Love, it's been a week. Please, wake up. Everyone misses you." I say to her. Praying that she does hear me. They say that they can. I hope it's true.

Haseya P.O.V.

I don't know what's going on. I hear people talking but I can't open my eyes.

"Haseya, my darling." I see my mother.

"Mom! What are you doing here?" I ask, confused.

"Baby, you're in a coma. You have two choices, you can come with me, or you can go back to the people that love you." She tells me.

My first thought is of course I want to go with my mom. I mean, I miss her so much. She is the only that really understands me, right now.

"I want to go with you mama." I tell her.

"As much as I would love that, you know that is not what you really want. All your friends and family is out there, waiting on you. Jace has not left that room unless absolutely necessary. Haven't you heard him talking to you? Or anyone for that matter?" She asks me.

"I mean, I've heard him and everyone else, but I thought I was just imagining things." I say, walking towards her.

"Oh, sweetie, no. That was not your imagination. It was far from it. Please, I love you so much. Go back, they are all waiting for you." She tells me, coming forward to hug me.

"There will be a time, where you have to make a decision. Please, make the right one. Follow your heart, listen to it and let it tell you what you want. I love you!" She says and starts to fade away. *

I start to hear things beeping. Where am I? What happened? I try to open my eyes, but I can't. I try to move but nothing is happening. After a few minutes, I can feel movement in my hand. I try wiggling my fingers.

"Haseya?" I hear Jace.

"DOCTOR!" I hear him yell.

"What?" I hear the doctor.

"She just moved her fingers, I felt it." He tells him.

"Haseya, if your awake, move your fingers for me." The doctor says.

I try to move my fingers again, I start to get feeling in them again and move them. After I start to move my fingers, I can feel my eyes trying to open. I want to open them so bad, but I'm struggling.

"She is starting to wake up." The doctor says.

"Young man, please, go get the rest of the family. Let them know what's going on." The doctor says, and I can hear Jace running out of the room.

"Haseya, if you can hear me, I need you to open your eyes, or give me some other sign." He tells me.

With that encouragement, knowing that my family is coming in, I can feel my eyes starting to open. I look around to see I'm in the hospital.

"Welcome back." The doctor smiles at me.

"What happened?" I ask.

Peaches! Hello, how are you lovely people tonight?

I'm glad I got this chapter up.

I've been waiting for a while to write these chapters. I just haven't had the time yet.
