Haseya P.O.V.
Lily, she is adorable, she really is. I thought to myself. A birthday party though. I can't help but think of what was supposed to happen on my birthday. I'm sad though, I do miss them all. I just couldn't handle it there anymore. But, what else could I do but leave. My dad wouldn't hear me out, neither would my brother. It's like, I wasn't anything to them anymore. Not until I mentioned leaving, then he was hostile, saying I would be a disappointment. That hurt a lot. After I get out of my thoughts for the day, I think I will just go ahead and sleep.
The weekend comes and goes. Jace and my friends came over for a little while and visited, making sure I'm ok. I hated sending them away, but I just wanted to get as much sleep as I could before Monday.
"Haseya! It's time to get up!" I hear Hailey.
Ugh, seriously, I so do not want to go. But, at least all my homework is caught up. Thanks to Ashlyn, I may not like homework, but I also don't want to be behind.
20 minutes later.
I go downstairs, I think I look good. I got my pretty tribal blouse with little shreds at the bottom and a pair of tight black leggings with some black booties with buckles. I do some eye liner and mascara. Not too much, not too little. I feel good, I think it'll help. As I enter the kitchen, I see my aunt making breakfast, like always.
"How you feeling baby girl?" She asks as I sit down.
"Nervous auntie, I'm really nervous. It's been what feels like forever since I went to school. I'm not so afraid as I am going to be a little embarrassed. I know I will have my friends there though." I say. Trying to be confident.
"You'll be just find sweetie. You can handle anything. After everything you have been through, I have no doubt that you will get through today. I love you." She comes over and hugs me. "Now, eat your breakfast."
So, I sit and eat my breakfast, waiting for Jace. I don't want to get behind the wheel. At least not yet. I think about everything that happened, even though my friends and family told me not to, I still feel selfish.
While I'm sitting there in my inter monologue, I don't hear Jace honking till my aunt says something.
"Haseya, Jace is here." She gives me a quizzical look.
"Everything ok?" She asks.
"Oh, I'm fine. I'll see you later auntie. I don't know if Jace has anything planned for afterschool. If he does, I will text you and let you know. I love you!" I give her a big hug.
"Love you too baby, love you too." She hugs me back.
I wave to her as I set out the door. As I look up, I see Jace, a big smile on his face, leaning against his car. No motorcycle for a while.
"Hey love." He says, as I go over to him.
"Hey babe." I give him a big hug.
"Are you ready? You know we will be with you the whole time." He puts his hands on my shoulders, looking into my eyes.
"I can't say for sure that I'm ready, I am nervous." I sigh, leaning into him.
"It'll be ok. I promise. I love you babe." He gives me a light kiss.
"I love you too." I kiss him back and get into the car.
We make small chat on the way to school. About what's been going on and all that small stuff. Nothing major. As we pull up I see all mine and Jace's friends waiting for us. Deep breath, I tell myself as I get out of the car. Jace comes over and intertwines our fingers. Kissing my hand and giving me a reassuring smile. For some reason, I blush. I know he sees and lets out a small chuckle. I give him a small glare. As soon as we reach the doors, Ashlyn comes barreling down the steps. Andrew behind her just shaking his head.
