"Where'd all this come from" I ask Christian. My voice still sounds like a whisper.

"From a lot of well wishers. Your well wishers" he smiles.

"There are so much. Who are the people who came to see me?"

"Honey you ain't seen nothing yet. This room was crowded every second of the day. Let's just say everyone in college visited and a lot of other people"

"Really? How did they know?"

"I'm not sure. I haven't really been there after that day. So..."

"Where you here everyday?"

"Every second. Except when I needed to pee or take a shower"

"You're still wearing the same clothes?"

"Yeah. I showered here and put 'm back on"

"Was mom here too?"

"Yes. She comes in everyday. Cordelia was here too. Drew and her father. Megan. Aunt Amelia. Basically everyone"

"What did they say when they came? Did they talk to me?"

"Yes baby. They said a lot of things"

"Did you record the things you said to me?"

"You know. You sure asks a lot of questions for someone who just came out of a coma of 8 days" he chuckles.

"Exactly what I was about to say" my mom says rushing into the room, being followed by a nurse bringing my food.

"Mom" I try to scream, but it comes out like a loud whisper.

"My baby! How are you feeling?"

"Crappy and weak" I answer as she hugs me.

"Oh baby, I was so worried. How dare you scare me like this?"

"Oh mom"

I put one arm around her from where I'm lying on the bed, since I can't use the other arm.

I didn't notice all those machines earlier. So many different things that are connected to my body to keep me alive.

I'm alive!

Reality hits me like a wrecking ball. I could have died in this coma, but I'm alive!

My eyes get clouded with tears as I think of the things that could've happened. I don't even know what is wrong with me.

"Please don't cry baby. It's OK now. You're OK"

My mom's soothing words calm me down a little.

"What's wrong with me mom?"

"Oh baby it's going to be fine. Don't worry. Right now you have to eat. OK?"

I nod and look at the nurse who's looking at us awkwardly.

"Mrs Righter and Mr King. I think it would be ideal for her to get some rest after her meal. You guys can talk to the doctor to find out if she can be visited again today. He'll be waiting for you in his office"

"OK. We'll do just that" says my mom.

"Can't I just stay and be quiet? I won't bother her. I just want to be here" Chris asks hopefully.
